Also i draw manga and want a scholorship in Japan next year, so i'm writing the essay for that!, but is there any other Manga artists amongst us?

Heh I've not drawn manga (well, more animé actually) for a couple of years now. Safe to say I was shit hot in my time (13 years old, the wonders of having ludicrous amounts of chinese people who feed you no end of noodles & manga while you're there)

the biggest problem with IDSN is that it's as expensive as hell. If j00 have the money then go for it cos its great. If you have even more money, get ADSL cos its better. But more expensive.

Stuck with Home Highway here, until BT can figure out, after a YEAR long trial how to convert it to ADSL, oh, and Eurobell wouldn't know a cable modem if it fell on them.

I keep my ISDN cos I don't trust BT to keep my ADSL up all the time and there's no way I'm going back to 56k ever. Once had to do that in a league game about a year ago and I ended up smashing my mouse in frustration

Believe it or not, BT can now do the conversion from Home Highway to ADSL!

Got on the phone to a very nice chap, who has arranged installation on July 2nd <me faints in surprise>.

As a bonus (probably for waiting so long), the installation fee is still waived, as is the conversion fee(£99).

I played Q3 on the net for the first time last week - won 2/3 matches, and i had a ping of 520 too. mbe it's just that im 1337. or perhaps everyone else is crap. I practise against Hardcore bots most of the time, sometimes against Nightmare.

I was reading through Computer Buyer and they had a ISP page with a deal from ntl for £25 instalation and £25 a month upkeep!.
i'm gonna go for that as we use the ntl phone service aswell!.
when i get it, who here plays Unreal T or Half-Life Counterstrike or Q111 TA?
then we'll have a few games eh?

d00d, you can get an ethernet card for something like a tenner. Yeah it works pretty well, but the Telewest one is better - less ping spikes I hear.
When I got my telewest one installed he came in, plugged it in the wall, plugged it in my pc and within 15 minutes he had me playing Quake in front of him

I can't see the NTL one being any different...
