Can a lvl 1 be a Legendary Crafter? Or do u need to be a specific lvl?

Yes, the level of the character has nothing to do with it.

Note that some crafts can't be chosen until you get to level 5 though as you need to be an advanced class to learn it. Fighters can be armourcrafters but have to wait until level 5 and choose paladin to be Alchemists for example.

choose a char with speed will make tasking take alot less time

having a higher level crafting character used to be important due to the fact that tier 10 items were only available from merchant keeps in the frontiers... (is it relic keeps too?)

but imagine the aggro problems a lvl 1 would get trying to get tp Beno

Yeah you can get materials from relic keeps too, just can't craft there unless your a tailor.

Glad about the SI towns having the materials, used to get ganked all the time going to the RK

A level 1 rogue can be an alchemist. AFAIK you can do all the crafts as a level 1 if you pick the right class.
