All this bullshit about how many people actually die from terrorism, the perception of fear is what will drive the most draconian reactions from society.
It is only our comfort that stops us from rising against them, 4 million UKIP voters silenced by a voting system designed to keep radical though suppressed, how far can it stretch.

They key word here is "culture" - it's not a race issue despite the hand wringing, and it's not a religious issue despite everyone inventing new words to claim as such - what we're talking about here is integrating 1 million new arrivals from a culture that is about as far away from Western Liberal culture as it's possible to get, and then wondering why there's been fireworks (pun not intended) within the first few months.

I agree what happened in Germany is terrible. I have no idea what to do about it. also....I was in Berlin over new-years. I saw large groups of people, and even mingled with some of them. We were just two guys and a fairly nice looking girl. we didn't ever feel unsafe at all, and we went to all sorts of places. why? because not every grouping of people consists of douchbags meaning to fuck shit up.

However, and please try and wrap your head around this concept, its really rather simple after all...it really doesn't matter what you or I think, it is what the mob thinks. Now the actions of a few will have a negative impact on the many, and already are. If the few do it again...and they probably will then the doors will slam shut on those desperate for safety.

I think that a minority of people think that asylum seekers pose a threat, is all. "Collective displeasure" "most people" - these are terms used to express a majority of people think this way - and I strongly dispute that.

And it's not that I think people who disagree with me who are morons - I think people who think that asylum seekers pose a massive threat (when I freely acknowledge they pose an increased threat) are morons. And that those morons are a tiny minority of the UK...

Maybe it's the fact that I'm riddled with cold so maybe I'm missing something, but that's not that far out an opinion is it?
