Following on from the population density thing; good article in the Graun yesterday, which pretty much talks about everything we did, but with better information; like London is the lowest population density megacity on the planet. Key takeouts are that its shit planning that's the real problem, and generally speaking, rising populations are a lot better than falling ones (interestingly they also cited Liverpool as an example).

Yeah, I read that too but decided not to post here because the knuckle daggers equate the guardian's intellectual quality alongside that of the sun and will disregard out of hand...

Trump wins in New Hampshire, I do believe I have posted over and over again that the far right and christian white won't put up with this shit for long...we now have a front runner fro president who wants to ban muslims.
You may think he"s a nutcase, but someone's voting for him

What I find more interesting, is that one of the US' most prominent liberal voices outside of Hollywood, Bill Maher, is starting to agree with him. He's recently been asking why, if the left in the US were so keen to condemn apartheid and other horrible ideas from history, they are very quiet on Sharia Law and the Snackbar's treatment of women.

Some of the responses, especially from feminists, have been...interesting..

Retards are voting for Trump. You have to remember that only around a third of those polled in the US believe in evolution by natural selection. And about as many again think that the Earth is only a few thousand years old.

They're fucking idiots.

I suspect if it's a choice between Trump and Bernie you may just get your wish.

It's weird that Bernie was a looney leftie outsider, and Hillary was going to win, so there was no point talking about anyone else.

Has he got a serious chance of winning it? - Seems like people aren't actually too resistant to the whole socialistobama?

His support mainly appears to be people too young to remember how socialism worked out last time, or have never been to Venezuela recently.

He's not that radical in the grand scheme of things, hell, I bet our 'socialism' in the UK is currently more socialist than Bernies ideas.

I don't think his ideas are particularly radical, easier access to education seems like a no brainer, education is a great way of improving chances of social mobility

But he is so far behind already because of the super delegates, Hilary already has almost 400 pledged delegates he has 45

He's only a socialist by American standards, he'd be blairite Labour at most in the UK

Not really, it's been worked out that you could cut America's entire military budget, jack up taxes for everyone earning over 150k a year, and he still wouldn't be able to afford all the free stuff he's promised.

Struggles with maths and is offering lots for free, at the expense of people who work hard for a living. Sounds pretty socialist to me.

One more terrorist act in the US and Trump is in.
Sounds like a challenge to a lot of people on both sides

It's a bit like when the Tories said they wouldn't cut certain things and they did.

No-one takes election manifestos seriously, they're just an over-hyped version of what that politician is going to do (Or not.)

I think seriously suggesting that Bernie will make America into a socialist utopia (Or that's his aims) is pretty ridiculous.

It's a bit like saying if Trump got into power, Muslims WOULD be banned... They're not dictators..

I didn't really read the links, but with the formation of the NHS, they said 'np np national insurance will pay for it'

Does it fuck.

Atleast Bernie is being honest.

That's something of an over-simplification of what National Insurance was/is.

Well, it was intended to do that, increase input and it'd pay for 'care'
