Well those zombies are pretty fucking fast and persistent, thats for sure.

Not that it mattered, when I finally managed to run to safety I got shot down by a sniper.

Had a pretty good run tonight, restarted and found a crowbar, which turns out to be shit. Then found an axe which was much better. My mate caught up with me (who had a m1911) by the coast airfield and we heard someone shooting on the roof of the control tower. Saw zombies climbing up to this guy. Thought there might be two up there. But fuck it we had nothing to loose. Got up to the side and my mate shot one a few times, he died. The other started camping the ladder up. We got a couple of shots on him as he crawled around. I nicked the dead guys stuff(alice pack, lee enfield, bloodbags, loads of stuff) on the ladder. Then the bloke who was still alive quit. Got up there and took the rest. The bloke logged back in :D Killed him and by the end we had two of what i previously mentioned :D awesome! Got to a super market and found a tent. Now we're filling that up!

Had a Lee Enfield and loads of kit. Went exploring, survived for about 5 hours. Found some ruins so had a look round. Bugged out on my way back down from the tower, fell and broke my legs... in the middle of nowhere. Great.

Still, I will rise again!

I had an AK yesterday but I think I prefer the Enfield, it's much tidier. Though I haven't fought any other players yet. Picking low pop servers for now while I get used to the game.

I have found the AI is a bit easy to trick though. I had about 10 zombies chasing me earlier and ran into a block of flats, went up on the roof and picked them off as they came up the stairs. I guess they are supposed to be mindless though!

That's the best way to escape from a horde chasing you.

For those that haven't taken the plunge yet, ARMA2 combined ops is now £14.99 on Steam.

Only killed 1 survivor and felt pretty bad, he was running from zombies.

It's very rewarding when you finally succeed doing things. Had a few deaths and decided to make my way inlands when I started again, seems much more safe than staying near the sea where its alot of people and zombies roaming. Learning to avoid zombies was also something that I made progress on, instead of sprinting around panicking whenever I spotted a zombie I found myself stealthily crawling out of a barn surrounded by a zerg of zombies instead, to much greater success. Have been running around checking barns and deer stands now and managed to pick up a few decent items (and ten million hatchets of annoyance), finally managed to get some weapons of a corpse I found lying in a field.

Really enjoying the game at the moment!

The thing about going inland is that once you get a nice weapon and 5 Mags there's only really one thing to do.

Head for the NW airfield or head back to the coast and start using that nice shiney weapon you found on people instead of zombies.

Because that is the aim of the game tbh first you survive then you scavenge and then you kill people.

Was planning to head over to the airfield/barracks.

How do you group up or communicate as one btw? If I want to play with a friend he'd just spawn like normal and try find me?

Pretty much you would have to use a coms program vent/TS i guess, as i've notice on 99% servers global chat is disabled.

The airfield/barracks is the most scary place in the game and the fastest way to die life expectancy once you get there is anything from 5mins-30mins if you are on a busy server because that place is a magnet for clans wanting to farm weapons.

Was watching the road from Baltoa-Chern earlier picked off a few people running towards chern and looting what they took from Baltoa, beats going into the airbase and taking a high risk of being killed :)

Global chat was funny as well because each person threw a hissy fit when they died :)

I think I got sniped!

Best run yet. Managed to get all the basics, compass, watch, knife, axe etc. Had an Enfield and a side arm, plenty of food/water so thought I would run north. Found a military base which at first glance seemed empty. Went in, got up the tower and suddenly about 8 zombies spawned in the yard. I had no choice but to kill them because they were literally at the door. I was a bit disappointed that there was nothing really of value there. Anyway I quickly left and carried on running North. Wife started talking to me so turned round quickly and bam, dead. Didn't hear a gun shot and was at 12000 blood. Game over.

Will teach me to be more careful trampling through the woods!

Shotgun, AK-74, sidearm, tons of ammo, food, two water bottles, tent and all kind of utility items.

Ambushed at a barn near airfield of death by a guy that opened fire at me from nowhere and killed me in the ensuing gunfight. Zombies crawling around the barn didn't really help the chaos either!

Try again :)

Died to a hacker the other day, shot nowhere near me, didn't lose any blood, suddenly get DC'ed and when I log back in I'm dead. Lost a ghillie, AS50, silenced pistol, NVGs, rangefinder, GPS, satchel charges etc etc. Pretty much the best gear in the game. So many hackers in the game right now it's crazy. Every time we find a vehicle, someone ports in to try and steal it eventually. Rage-inducing.

Yeah I think I'll give the game a miss until they get a hold on the hacking. A guy I've been playing with started running scripts to get every item in the game, I'm not interested in cheating to win.

Easy way to combat this is to not go running with the best items in the game keep it simple that way when you do die it doesn't really matter.

Annoying to die to a hacker whether you had an AS50 or a Lee Enfield tbfh.

Not really, and i'm not being funny but those items you had could only be achieved by camping the barracks for 10 hours item farming or server hopping and both i can't stand players doing, or being very lucky and since you had pretty much the best gear in the game luck goes out the window with that.

The better gear you have the more you lose it's that simple and the more infuriating it is when you die and lose all that said gear.

There is a "bug" where your magazines re-charge on log out...could be related to that.

Yeah I think I am leaning that way too, I have only died once directly to a player but I am always getting shot at. Time to shoot first me thinks.

Bit of a shame but if that is what the majority of players play like well I will just have to join in and kill them

How we play is if we get the drop on someone, we will watch them for a while and see how they play, if they hostile in their play style we kill them.

If we blunder into people in a forest or in a town, we kill them, its all to close together and to risky to let them live and potentially take you out.

Its a real shame as when the mod first came out everyone was out and about to help each other and get along. Once the mod got mass market that changed alot and everyone started dieing alot more often.
