Active RvR clerics needed?

Is there many or few active clerics in RvR, and are there any pickup grps to xp with ?

Guess why. RvR guilds have 5-8 reju and they are running max. 2x1fg afaik (so 4 clerics needed). Other guild grps have their own reju clerics as well. If you haven't got a RvR guild or a bit bigger guild with semi regular RvR - you will struggle with random grps and they mostly suck.

I like RvR, outside emain mind you, but whenever I go to look for a group, there´s none to get..

If people want more clerics they have to support them in PvE. Less buffbots, more grouping of real clerics.

Numerous times when leveling my rejuv cleric I was unable to get groups because of buffbots. So don't come moaning now that your buffbot sucks in RvR cos it can't keep you alive

Supprisingly enough, im a rej cleric and i stand at the portal keep in emain for ages and cant get a gruop :S let alone a good one.

PK is not a good place to stand if you are a cleric. People will assume you are a buffbot Stand in Sauvage. much more efficient

I started a rejuv cleric on my return to Alb in the hope to get a L50 again before 1.62, but due to the amount of people leveling buffbots its impossible to get a group, Ive actively logged the cleric on for the last 2 weeks every day at various times.

Playing a rejuv cleric means you CANT solo, well ok maybe greens but thats not viable.

My cleric is still L5
My necro is now L35

Support your rejuv clerics in PvE if you want them for RvR.

Glad to find it's not just me. I made a cleric to help in RvR and have found it to be the hardest class I've played so far to get a group with.. incredible but true.

In the end I specced smite so I could at least solo my way to 50 and then respec.

That was the plan anyway....

At 47 I've either soloed or spent the rare occasions in groups quite disgusted by the majority of players' behaviour and manners ... so much so that I don't think I'll bother to respec....

I'll be interested to see all those who prefered their buffbot in PvE groups to a real cleric healing themselves in Emain and all the rude people rezzing themselves out on the battlefield ;P

Well, you can solo kinda well as smiter both in Barrows and at cyhraeths. Bring some power potion (and end potion for sprint if too many resists at cyhraeths ). I've done the same from 40 to 50 (with tree grps 44-47), tho I had a very good partner in Barrows - Sohawen.

Its not the point tho really, Clerics should not be soloing (IMHO) they are a group character and work best in groups.

The sooner mythic put a range on conc buffs the better.

I found it shocking that the class I thought would level the fastest within Pryd/Alb is still Level 5 and unable to get grouped, actualy I did get invited to a group once, there were 3 other clerics already so I declined.

Aye at least the time of tree grps they needed 2 clerics or 1 cleric + theu, I got invites from Lyonesse when I was in LB...

I remember the days when only 5 or 6 PBT theurgs existed on pryd/alb and I was one had to go /anon for all the invites.

yup now there are like 3(?) active theurgs and nobody cares about them

I think the game has evolved too much in the last year, guess its to be expected.

When we started the game, groups were easy to find, people accepted the mistakes you made as we were all new. You could pretty much log on of the night, chat with some friends gain a few levels then log out.

Now its all about the perfect ExP group and leveling FAST. The amount of times I've seen guild only groups at lower levels (mainly PBAOE groups) now dont get me wrong, theres nothing wrong with this. But i miss the old days.

I tried to level up the most group friendly class I could, but due to the current ethos on pryd/alb ive ended up soloing a necro.

There's just hardly anyone in the level range 5-40, so it's hard to level without a bit of PL if you can't solo.

They are good but once you hit baod,get aoe stunned or instant mezzed then 1 shotted heh you may aswell wear no armour or staff them to death

Also our aoe mez has been nerfed,range has gone down to 1250

Anyway i might roll a cleric in 1.62 to get my guild going again in rvr,haven't tried a healer properly yet

Its easy to get those first 5 levels in Alb, the command..

lack of clerics nowadays is true
when I got the insane idea to get my baby minstrel to 50 /who cleric my level or +- 3 showed either no matches or clerics in various rvr zones who were apparently buffboting
Finally i was happy to find a single cleric who proved to be worth the search as well , we grouped every single day arranged xp groups etc but sadly enough I got sick with xp and lack of people to take part im the groups as well
Most of the times we grouped it was me the cleric and another minstrel who was same level as I was. Anyway to cut a long story short I quit the mini project transforming my mini into a 'tailoring bot' while the cleric dinged 50 or is about to do that at least

I can recall almost 10 months ago when there was that many clerics in PVE groups that you could hardly get a group hence rl friends or ingame friends but tbh I havent actually xp all this time since I dinged 50 , only some plains-keltoi groups for thid etc

baod isnt comon and when its used use pets as ive always done.

AoE mez has always been gimp 1250 range, and our TL is asking for it t be uped to 1500.

Clerics for general RvR are rare as hell, mostly because random groups die alot and clerics feel usless and dont wanna go back.

You dont know how bad it will be, not only for buffbots but also for the real aspect, imagine 1500range on buffs, and tanks are chasing a healer and runs out of range of buffs and they drop, Do you understand how much that sucks, just because some ppl cant get grp and are moaning about it is no reason to say this.

The range on buffs will not only make buffbots usesless but also change alot in actual RvR.

IMO if they want to do something about buffbots, remove the whole concept of conc, and give each class that had conc "power based" and then make a cap of 16 buffs per buffer, and 10 or 15 min recast time.

The thing about the range is outrageous.

Try thinking before you post, there was no mention anywhere of 1500 range, thats just pure stupid. If they were to add range to Conc buffs it would have to extend way more than that.

Its not the fact that SOME people cant get groups. The issue remains, every time I have logged on a cleric for the last month there has been no group, or group already has someone leveling a buffbot - its just bloody stupid now.

Also making buffs recastable at 10 minutes is an even more stupid idea, anyone whos played a cleric properly knows what a pain it is to buff the group when they enter a dungeon, as you sugest using buffs to drain power would make a cleric essentialy useless for 3 out of every 10 minutes.

Ranged conc is the way to go - but ensure the range allows groups to operate efficiently in RvR.

IMO, a penalty to the rps received for kills when a certain distance from the cleric who's buffed you is a good idea.
