I heard that they were restricting IP addresses so that europeans would have to use the european game and Americans, canadians, australians etc would have to use the US game.

This would suck if it's true, because I have a European Beta Key, but it doesn't work on the US site unfortunately. I have to pretend to be British so I can play the open beta of Warhammer without having to pay.

Also heard, that if you purchase a North American copy of game, it won't work on Euro servers and vice versa. So they'll have it separate just by the different keys in the games I think.

Surely if you all knew GOA was crap at hosting a game server, why the hell did you pre order warhammer, clearly knowing it would be an epic fail ¬¬ (and then warning the rest of us who didn't know after we pre ordered it!!!)

Because most of the ppl here are old DaoC players and have had years of dealing with GoA. But they also have a bit of faith in GoA to do it right this time.

The sad thing is that yesterday when IainC was spouting all this stuff off about how confident he was about their centre being able to handle what was to come i actually had some faith and thought to myself that maybe they can do it.

Because we were hoping EA would have given them a kick up the arse and brought them into line, but obviously we were wrong to even trust EA to get it right.

well spending loads of money on a totally new support system in Dublin so that it can be monitored and get in-game help 24/7 seems like they are "brought into line".

as long as its cool for launch its not a huge deal imo, sure i have my preorder CE too and paid for it but damn its only a few hours

thats what im getting at, we are not customers (yet). it doesnt matter what is going on or who is to blame. yeh its good to rant but it kind of a bit dumb too when we dont have a clue. i suppose it passes the time.
