The fact that false keys are being "validated" suggests they are just dumping all the requests to a ff/db and processing them after the fact. Someone might like to instruct GOA that message queueing should be your first port of call for this sort of thing...not deployed when the shit hits the fan.

Not seen one yet, but I'd give them a little time before worrying, the 'asynchronous' may mean they take the data to a different server (hell, worst case it could mean they print it out and Magnus gets to go to the database and enter it all by hand, but I suspect they have something a bit more elegant than that set up )

i'd imagine all the data we have been giving them gets put into a database after a certain period of time that database is automaticly sent to the authentication server to be checked and a new database is started for people still putting in keys.

it could be 5 minutes or 1 hour before the real auth server gets the info to check

Well I refreshed and tried again but no idea whether its actually gone through or not. I got the spinny wheel for 2 seconds then it went back to the homepage. Was it the same for everyone else or did you get some sort of confirmation message?

I have done with this on first hit with opera browser. Only on opera all works for me firefox code 414 ie other problems xD

my beta key was "not validated" as i pressed the validation tab in the activation page...
i tried to register here Warhammer Online : Age of Reckoning , with kept workin but there was always error 414

i tried 1 last time the activation link and it worked in secs

but can goa plz delete pages that are no more in use???

I got my confirmation email earlier this afternoon, but can't activate the link. It either goes to the website with a "Error 3x03" report in the address bar or to the default IE "can't load the page" screen.

The top website announcement appears to have reverted to the previous one omitting the key activation link and telling us what's going to happen at 16:00 CET.

Ok so type in username and password. Then type in our beta key. When click accept and instead of telling us whether it's valid or not we have to wait for another email to tell us whether they key, username and or password are valid. what do we do then? click on a link to let them know that we know they've set us an email to see if we know that they know they've checked our beta key and they just wanted to let us know that we can start patching once we let them know that we received the email that says that they know that we........ffs

If it spins for long then refresh the page and enter the details again. Worked for me and a lot of other people.

start again if that happens i just did 2 keys one went through instantly the other hanged at the wheel for 5mins so i refreshed the page and the 2nd time it went through straight away again like my first key

your key is not validated it is added into a queue of keys waiting to be validated.

how long it takes from entering the queue to becoming validated is anyones guess.

you will either get an email saying the key was valid or one saying the key is invalid.

but nothing is stopping you from trying to log into the war client every 5-10 minutes the email might not turn up until long after it has been validated

Okay -- Excuse me, but I've not put any effort into these shenanigans that GOA have been pulling since yesterday after about this thread hit 1000. I thought I was being more than patient, but now it's getting downright laughable. Anyways, maybe could someone help me a bit? I've made it through the 5 step program.. I've now registered my account. I need to somehow validate my key, but every time I click on the login, key page, or whatever it says that services are temporarily down-- but I keep hearing people on here saying they got through somehow, what's up? Also-- I read an update that was only up momentarily that said the key process was up and working under a new page, WHICH DIDN'T WORK... and when I went back to the main page the update was now gone... So is it still the same bullshit we were getting yesterday, or is this nearly fixed?

just a heads up, i wasn't sure if my pw was one of two things - when i entered one 'version' the cog spun for a good 15 mins, tried the other (which i can only presume was the right one) and it nearly instantly gave me 'key validated' screen.

@ Answer - there is a link straight through to the validate key page. I cant remember it as I did it on my other box, but you might be able to search for it.

Using that is much easier than using the home page.

on the news page click the new link to valadaite your key it says HERE, fill in the blanks and sit back and await your email

you dont need to logg in on the "new" page. If you dont se anything "new" (you know when you are there...) then you need to re-fresh your webb-browser. Try using IE...
