According to what we've been told it's being processed asynchronously at the back end, it will probably give you an error email later.

probably u justentered a fake one but maybe u just typed the correct one , maybe it was luck , try again only with the same letters , qqqqq-qqqq-qqqq-qqqq-qqqq-qqqqq

i'm Validated!

Hi all,

Just to let you know, i managed to get my beta key validated and am now awaiting for the email letting me know it was all fine.

GOA state "an email will be sent after a short time to either confirm your registration or to inform you of any errors."

Well so far, its been 30 mins and no sign of the email. I'm not complaining, just letting others know that it could take some time for the email to arrive. I'll update you all when i have received the email. :)

Same situation here. The key validated, but I can't yet login.

Hopefully the email will come through soon!

generally..... 414 error:

Web server thinks that the HTTP data stream sent by the client (e.g. your Web browser) contains a URL that is simply too large i.e. too many bytes. Typically Web servers set fairly generous limits on length for genuine URLs e.g. up to 2048 or 4096 characters. If your URL is particularly long, you can usually try shorter variations to see roughly where the limit is. If your long URL is indeed valid, then the Web server may need to be reconfigured to allow your URLs through. Understand that Web servers have to set some reasonable limit here, because they have to deal with badly programmed clients trying to give them huge garbage URLs.

(probably poorly implimented backend)

1226 is more than likely an SQL error.... again when authing ("trying to") to the db.....

at a guess..... :)

its just that their kit cant cope with the amount of data being thrown at it all at the same time.....

So they have basically messed up again? and need to change something within their system to allow us to validate our keys?

Warhammer Online : Age of Reckoning

Thanks a lot!

Now I am waiting on my code registration request being handled :D oh, can almost feel my beta code being accepted now and login enabled :D

EDIT: Strangest thing throogh, activation page at war-europe.com/#/activation/ doesn't load in FireFox, only in IE7....

Once upon a Monday dreary,
While I F5-spammed, weak and weary,
Over many a strange and spurious errors of GOA,

While I clicked my val'date key,
Suddenly there came a warning,
And my heart was filled with mourning,
Mourning for my dear WAR.

'Tis not possible, I muttered,
Give me my access to WAR! —
Quoth the server, "414".

;)

you will get a email with a error then i think if details are wrong

Yep, i read that. However I did EXACTLY the same thing last night, got through to the validated key page and still no email, no access to the patcher, nothing. The fact that it went through instantly tells me that no data was/is actually being transmitted to them

When mine activated this morning I went straight to the client. It started up no problem but after checking my files it told me that several files were missing so I needed to reinstall the entire program. Ive since discovered I had a corrupted download so Im having to download the entire thing again - all 9gb :(
Still I should get there sometime before the beta runs out - hopefully tomorrow or later tonight

I suspect the earlier system, that you used, wrote details straight into the 'player' database so you could instantly access the game servers - this 'temporary' system is doing it asynchronously, so we'll be slower getting our details in there.

Sorry about the client corruption - I found the Freddy's torrent way faster than the GOA site for the download, and being a torrent it's a rather good error checker for the files built in, perhaps that will get you a faster download?

Try using IE instead of firefox if thats what you are doing. Your are supposed to get white background with spaces to fill in, you DO NOT log in from the thing on the left. I'll see if I can get a screenshot...

When I use FF and click on the "here" in the news section it takes me to the main page at Warhammer Online : Age of Reckoning. when I try and use IE it just hangs, freezes and I end up having to reboot IE. I still don't get it :(

I've got a CE key and just registered it. No problems at all. You sure the spelling is correct?

Anybody got the email yet, or can I continue reading my manga's?

From Warhammer online: Age of reckoning Page

Some of you are experiencing a 414 error. This is a time-out message, please wait a few minutes and try again.

LEARN TO READ:

News feed
16:20 CET September 8 - Key Validation system online
This morning we explained to you that a new system would be coming for open beta key validation. We are pleased to announce that this is now online. For the moment this system is open to people who either already have a beta centre account on war-europe or those who created an account yesterday and have received a confirmation email. Those of you who have not yet had the chance to create an account must wait a little longer and to you we apologise for the delay.

To use the new system, if you are one of those who created your account yesterday, then first you must validate your account by following the link on the confirmation email if you have not already done so. Once you have done that, or if you already have an account on the war-europe site, then you should go to our new key validation page which you will find here. Once there you will put your account details in including your key and submit it. This will be checked via an asynchronous process and an email will be sent after a short time to either confirm your registration or to inform you of any errors.

I'm at the same stage, though stupidly and stubbornly, I tried to log in to the game anyway. It failed. :p

What does worry me is that I got an error message at the same time as the authentication page said my code was verified. =/

This 'asynchronous' probably system means whatever you input is heading directly into a database - that's doing nothing but collect the details you typed in, without checking anything, so it would be very fast. The important bit will come when they take that data to their main database, and try match it to existing account info.
