Well, I finally registered after nearly 4 hours In the end I had to enter my personal details about 25 times, and now looking back I don't think I connected with a secure connection either; didn't see no padlock.

How very disappointing considering GOA has had over a year to set up their new office in Ireland, and today I see that they have done very little in preparation.

Seriously considering playing on the Mythic US servers, does anyone know if there is anything stopping EU customers from playing there? I don't wanna play on GOA servers again.

tl;dr GOA epic fails.

No problems Ivy, just get the US specific game.

For DAoC I just had to change the localisation file, and buy a key Stateside (didn't want that download on dialup then). May be able to do something similar and just buy a key.

I was going to give GOA until January to shape up, but if this carries on, it'll be 'til the end of the week, and I'll cancel the GOA preorder.

So does anyone know if GOA or Mythic is updating the fanbase in any way, shape or form? war-europe seems to have left us hanging with "it's working, but slow".. but unfortunately no matter what stage people are in, they are not getting along very well at all. Are they just going to continue leaving us hanging, or is there some secret place where they are actually announcing that they realize there is a horrible problem and are attempting to fix it. tl;dr GOA fix yo shit

Quite true Flim - just irritating that they didn't have a slightly better plan for handling it, when it was clearly going to happen if they needed so many people to both register and re-register

I'm still trying to work out why they needed everyone to create a second account anyway just because they were not already in the closed Beta - that was always weird, but when they ended up turning off the image/authentication code it became spectacularly pointless. Completely new accounts, fair enough - but if you had one already, why delete it.....

seems a bit odd to me too... especially since people are getting duplicates.

I mean, does your email address end in say @gmail.com, or @hotmail.com?

I don't think it matters anyway, I just think the mailing is all clogged up due to the large amount of people registering.
