Well the dude took our money and guaranteeed (that s what is says on the box i purchased) and now his company is screwing up in doing what they guaranteed...its as simple as that...the reslease date is bound to be reschedueled and all thanks to GoA incompetence... seriously the dudes should be sacked by Mythic and mythic should take over the project nd make it work...

Sacked, maybe - I don't know enough about what's been going on in GOA to have a valid opinion. What fired IainC up though was posts on various forums with racial insults, threats of physical harm, suggested bombing of the GOA staff - all way, way over the top. Not that I'd defend what he said, since I think it was pretty unprofessional of him, I've finally got to one of the links for it ;

Naturally, on the internet, saying something like that severely ticked off lots of other posters who felt they were being labelled in the 'sociopathic' category, and things got VERY heated.

As I said earlier, it's pretty clear from Mark Jacob's blog comments he's far from happy with GOA, and for what it's worth neither am I - but I thought it fair to point out Mark's comments about IainC's comments were not aboutthe GOA handling ofthe current mess.

no one has posted that they have received an email that grants access for a while now. This is really firing up some thoughts, maybe this new authentification system is just a pure way to limit the amount of onto the servers, delay tactic's whatever you wanna call it. 5 hours to not recieve an email when they state 1-2 hours tells me there is some underlining agenda that is not clear to us.

well i read the letter from IainC and got me furious. (note i was not with all the mess since is beta and i am more patient than more ppl it seems)

showed me an amateur reaction. also amateur reaction from GOA. i ll explain why:

when i was helping (not working) a friend to an internet cafe to open (without any release dates and time pressure) we stayed there 2 days without sleep to solve any problem we didnt expected. i am not saying they should do the same but i saw some kind of relaxation from GOA "lets go now will fix it tomorrow".
as a head of this company i also expected him to be there while releasing day. if he was thinking about his sunday off he should release on monday i dont care but you just CANT solve any problem by phone and tr0lling over forums.
also this unorganized mail sending and back on site 3-4 times.... WTF? and since there is a delay should be good to say " you will get confirmation after 12 hours we apologise but this is a fact" than saying nothing.

FFS i ve played most of my single games here

That is VERY unprofessional, and grounds for a disciplinary. And likely removal from public view for a while at least, otherwise he'll be baited to dig his own grave just a little deeper by all those 'sociopaths'.

Well, after yesterdays debarcle of not knowing whether we had to re-register or not ive just checked my other email inbox and ive had a registration email sent 2 hours ago, asking me to confirm my details etc so it seems things are moving... albeit slowly.

Thats only a weak excuse for not doing your job imo. Like he didnt know that GOA would get insulted if they screwed up the Open Beta start? Agressive gamers is not as shocking as a company that screws up the Beta of one of the most anticipated MMO's.

Well i ahve only one thing to say... Talk is cheap and all goa does is talk...
the issue hasnt been resolved for a day and a half atleast and it wont be resolved any time soon cause they prodably hit the sack and went to sleep now...Goa are incompetent and im not concerned by the beta any more... i just think that they will fail in delivering good service when the game launches...and that will make the game less succesful and a lot less enjoyable...I always wanted to see the warhammer world from the perspective of a single warrior( i play tabletop warhammer) i have been eager to see this and well im alarmed at the lack of progress and incompetence goa is presenting... they didnt even prepare well... i guess waht i am trying to say that if this game will be a failiur cause of goa it wont be able to be competition for wow and will be the same type of failiure that AoC was... I dunno about you guys but i dotn want that to happen

Has anyone found a way yet of getting past the problem of the link in the first confirmation email taking you to a code 303 error? I still can't activate the account registration. It either goes to that error report on the website or times out loading an authentication page.
