Abuser at Midgard

Someone told on /as that there was a firby at mularn so i went to there. After i got there someone on /as said that he has moved to Muspelheim so went there to search him and found lvl 50 firby hero.

I hardly believe he did it on purpose, if he did he would of attacked you anyway. Othwerwise whats the point in going there?
Its happened to lots of ppl before, its a common bug, logoff in 1 place logon in another.

In not one of those screenshots does it show him attacking anyone, so how on earth is he abusing a bug?

Abuse means doing something for your own gain ie using the zonewall bug to get to an area you shouldn't be able to reach, to then farm rps.

Lets see if there is maybe another explanation.

A lone hib wandering down towards the mid border keeps, on his possibly first or second trip, wanders over the zone wall BY ACCIDENT and ends up in a place that he shouldn't. Lost and confused he keeps wandering, wondering where he is before realising that he's actually IN MID (probly thru chatting in his guild) and starts looking for a way to get back home?

It could quite easily have been me the day before having never been to either border fort alone.

Tell me something, did it ever cross your mind to guide the lone hib back to the frontier, or towards someone that could kill him without gaining anything aka a guard or NPC? Nope instead YOU are the one who gained from HIS EXPLOITING A BUG!

cjkace .. don't try and defend him just because his guild is in your alliance. I think there is no way a lvl 50 character player, Rank 0 in his guild (Happy Horny Hibbies) would have done this by accident. At lvl 50, he has probably become bored with the game, and needed a new "fix". Being banned will be no big deal, if all he can think of to still do in the game is abuse a well-known bug.

A - Don't know the guy

B - Don't know which guild he's in.

C - I was referring to him supposedly exploiting not that he is expoiting.

D - I'm lvl 50 and have soloed to the enemy frontier keeps once and that was the day before yesterday.

E - I'm not defending anyone just stating that there is another possible reason. People are far too willing to jump on the bug abuser bandwagon and screaming for people to be banned.

F - If this is such a 'well known' bug then how come I and quite a few people I've spoken to, don't know where this hole is?

Killing people or not inside the enemy realm is not the question.

This person made use of a bug, and entered Midgard. Thus abusing the bug.

If he really found himself in unfamiliar territory, he should have turned around (i mean - how hard can that be .... *duuh - I entered here, to exit I will try to walk in the oppersite direction, inland - duuh* ) or at least logged and contacted GOA

Nobody at level 50 (or most other levels) will not know that entering the enemy realm is wrong, especailly through a bugged zonewall.

Anyone of us would do the same!. If I feel into alb or hib I would take a look around...I know my way around hib so be quite fun .

but for christ sake if it was an accident you get his account banned its all his hard work gone to waste becuase he was interested in where he was...

Mika spoke to me bout that... as many ppl from hib and alb have experienced before, those trips are plain "luck" while moving by the edge of mid frontier... this time mika was afkish on autorun by the edge of map when found himself stepping inside mid lands... then he tried to explore a bit, NEVAH ganked sum1 etc etc

i will have done same but i'd prolly defended against those yellow con wankers ganking me.

1 : going to areas where you arent meant to is bug abuse, whether you attack people or not (sadly)

2 : i have got stuck in mularn before, and got out by picking my time to suicide at the gate (when you fall through the bugged spot then its hard to go back through :\)

3 : i dont think its a single hole, ive slipped through walls a lot when i just leave myself running, most of hte time in odins gate though where theres no other zone to drop into.

I think there is a wall bug near the snow crabs in upland as I have seen them in Muspelheim before. So he may of just wandered over the border line and found the hole by mistake. In one of your screen shots he is actualy crying and he never tried to hit you. Although I play in Midgard as well I think it was a genuine mistake or accident, if he meant to do it, do you realy think he would just stand there and wait for you to kill him ?

Put yourself in his shoes, you accidently find a wall bug and end up in Camelot or Lough Derg, would you have the restraint not to kill low levels and let someone just bash on you ?

A bug abuser in my eyes is someone who intentionaly uses a bug to gain from it i.e. in getting realm points or exp .

Do we know that he hasn't actually used Right Now to report it, but they've taken ages to reply?

Maybe it was just a mistake and he got confused and wondered about a bit, could happen, i know i'd certainly wonder around a bit if i found myself in a place i'd never been befoe, and to be honest i've done so little RvR that if i found myself in another realm it would take me a long time to realise i wasn't just in another part of the frontiers.

Give the guy a break and let him tell his story.

Errr .. please go back and read the first post. It wasn't me that wrote the original one.

Let GOA/Mythic decide on the definition of a bug abuser. I believe they have banned people before for exploiting wall bugs, therefore it would appear that they do consider abusing wall bugs a bannable offence.

BTW .. check my sig .. I'm not a Midgardian ... this bard stays home in Hibernia.

Yeah .. I talked to him .... so did someone else. Funny thing is, he told us two different stories.

He is lvl 50 .. has 166k RP ... he is no RvR n00b.

Its strange isnt it, that after the first public announcement of someone using that bug "accidents" involving it has multiplied by 5 or so on our server alone? And *ALL* of those accidents have involved high level experienced rvr characters. Imagine the odds of that..

I am no jury, I can permit myself to belive the probable, even though GOA have to assume that he is innocent. Im not saying that I belive it is right or wrong, I know he didnt kill anyone or anything, but according to the CoC you cannot do any form of bug exploration, period. (Some people also claim this goes for Gorre, sounds like a minefield for lawyers though, how do you beta test without doing bugexploration?)

Did I have a point? Probably. Was it lost in the dribble I started yapping at noone in particular? Most definitely.
