It lasts for twice the amount of time, however the valk can backup style the shield snare with a rear sword snare (since if you need to snare something most of the time it's probably with it's back to you) to get around most of the weaponskill issues. It also comes on a class with ranged snare and charge along with better interupting abilities while spamming snare so there's really no escape from it unlike the arms where you can get away with the help of your group.

That said, is there really the need to nerf every useful ability in the game into the ground. As has been pointed out if the arms is perma-snaring then he's giving up quite a bit of damage since the growth rate on the style is crap.

Err if you backup the shield snare with the sword snare, you will use the shield snare...
