Depends on the people gohan, our dogs always get treated way better then that. Good food(usually same that we eat), plenty of free running(not to mention get out if they just ask), no eunification and if they get preggers, also let it ride out as it will(most likely keep one of the pups too).

So on and so on. Wanker humans who treat their pets like accessories are the problem, people who treat animals with modecum of respect(especially working dogs) are not.

It might be like that...on the other hand given that the aliens would be super intelligent & curious, and knowing that we are significantly more advanced than a labrador puppy, it might end up being more of a boarding-school learning experience, rather than master/dog

genrally being super intelligent would mean that they just assume we're stupid in the same way we don't really think about who's cleverer out of cats and dogs and rabbits ect

if we were kept as pets for study and had all our creture comforts then fuck yeah!!


but if we were singular house pets for a family then probly not
