If Uruguay had kept attacking and not tried to win 1-0 they'd have been out of sight by now. Not a good England team at all.

They should pack up and go home, basically useless in every part of the pitch.

Building for the future my arse.

They could barely string 4 passes together, didn't know where each other were and and let in two goals that if the defense could work as a unit would not have even been chances, let alone goals.

As for Gerrard, fucking hell.

Gerrard proves once again why making him captain was the worst decision made for this team. Complete passenger in both games and gifts Uruguay a goal, then wastes great attacking opportunities for his own selfish attempts at redemption.

A lot of promising signs from both games, but this was a poor performance compared to the first.

Defence needs riipping up, Cahill aside. Gerrard needs to retire. Welbeck needs to do more than run about a lot and we might think about doing something, until then no chance.

non of the intensity of the first match, and having all those lads on at the end doesn't help them as they are all trying to squeeze into the same space. Feel sorry for lallana after the season he's had. If we are truly building for the future, barkley and lallana need toi start the next match. Defensively we just are not good enough across the back 4.

i completely agree with regards to stevie g aswell, he played no part in either match and henderson was far too deep all the tonight.

Daniel Sturridge is a brilliant player. Cahill was our defence. The rest played very average or just plain sucked. Hate to say it but the better team won tonight.

i agree with you, and some of his stuff was brilliant tonight but he doesn't get beyond the opposition defence enough everything he does is always in front of them. And that was the difference between the teams tonight, suarez got behind the defence twice and scored twice. No one was making the runs for England in dangerous areas.

We had more complete passes and possession than them so I don't see where that came from.

We passed it around our half of the pitch really well, yeah. As soon as we got anywhere near the Uruguay half we either just hoofed it in some random direction or ran into easy tackles.

All you miserable bastards. We were playing a top team who sat back ffs. Saurez was clinical, as was Balotelli and that was it. No one played particularly badly.
