woeful game i just cant fathom whats going on with the squad atm i really cant
things need to change and fast

get gerrard off the wing and get him back in the center midfield. get joe cole on the left hes a proven player in that position and can deliver good crosses

change the formation id definately opt for a 451 play gerrard as center midfield to support rooney, lennon and joe cole on the wings so we have playmaking potential right across the midfield. we have a very strong midfield presence and a very poor striker presence why hes not utilising i do not know boggles the mind

pick the squad the day before 2 hours before a game is bullshit gives you absolutely no time to prepare mentally tryin to keep them on edge to keep them fired up just isnt working its doing the exact opposite.

all these things im positive could help but i dont think we will see any of it hes just another manager thinkin throwing big names at the game will win it when will a england manager recognise gerrard and lampard cannot work in midfield as a 442

seen alot of england games think that may have been the worst and most dispirited display ive ever seen they should feel lucky they didnt lose that game.

I don't know where you get gobshite from when all his colleagues consistently call him quiet and shy.

Anelka is not that player any more Marc, I don't see how any professional could keep their cool with Domenech as their coach.

Anelka has always been a gobshite. Believes his own hype too much when lets face it, we could name about 50 better stikers around the globe.

Eh? Anelka has been a very consistent player almost throughout his entire career, he would have been the one to score for France if they fed him the ball.

Cameroon v Denmark is a good game so far two nice goals by both sides its end to end stuff with both sides missing absolute sitters.

Refreshing so far to see both sides go for it.

Seems Italy wants to do an England but least both have some way to go to beat the French.

Anelka was never that player imo his problems at Arsenal came from having his idiot brothers as his managers.

I really hope FIFA ban Keita for one match or more for cheating, would send a really strong message to those who play act.

Anelka telling his manager to "fuck off" is hardly acceptable behaviour, and neither is refusing to apologise afterwards. The French did the right thing sending him home. And then the squad refused to train? Laughable, millionaire footballers but still stupid selfish morons.

Even Domenech defended Anelka's outburst Turamber. It's the fact it went public that is the cause of dissent here.

and the fact that they reacted to the publicity, not the outburst.

John Terry next now xD

I'm not at all surprised. In his position as former captain, removed because of multiple indiscretions and bad publicity, he should have been careful in what he said.

Instead he revealed private details about the squad, criticised the manager and called for the inclusion of a player in the team. He may have been speaking from the heart but he should also be speaking with thought as to the repercussions of his words.

That isn't what I read. He said he'd liked to have kept him in the squad but only if he had proferred an apology. Being a childish multi-millionaire superstar, like the majority of footballers, he wouldn't. The French had no option but to give him 'le boot'.

According to the interview on Football365 Domenech is quoted as saying: "The decision to exclude him was the right one. I am sorry for the children for whom the French team represents something.

"He (Anelka) does not have the right to say such things."

What you read is irrelevant, the reason this has went off in the first instance is because the French FA just like you take something completely out of context. Something I might add which has been fed to them by the media.

Are you going to cry if Heskey does not play on Wednesday?

Terry's going nowhere. With Carragher suspended England don't have the luxury of losing another CB. And for once I wish Terry had actually stepped up and taken control. Capello's tactics (as shown by the substitutions on Friday more than anything else) are bankrupt, and the only people who can get him to even discuss a plan b are the players. If the players aren't getting anywhere behind closed doors, then a public showdown is the last resort.

Capello's discipline is all very well, but he reminds me of those WWI generals who kept sending troops against machine guns; eventually they had to find a different approach and there were mutinies before they did that.

England have to do something different, if it involves dropping Emile and results in England winning then so be it. However it would be harsh on England's player of the tournament so far.

There are bigger names that should be on the bench, Lampard and Rooney for two.

Personally I'd drop Lampard, put Gerrard in the middle, Cole on the left and replace Heskey with Crouch. If Capello absolutely must play Lampard (as I'm sure he will), then I'd still go with Cole on the left and let Gerrard play behind Rooney.

.....?

wow

The reason they have both been doing poorly is because neither have been used properly or had any of the support they need, while Heskey has been doing poorly because he is dog shit aweful.

Cole on the left, Lennon on the right, Lampard and Barry in the the middle with Gerrard playing just behind a lone Rooney. Get Barry to stay back and support the defence/hold the ball up. We need to stop fucking about with Heskey, he is bloody useless and has proven that he isn't up to the job.

For a start, Heskey was gash in the last game. But you'd bench Rooney over Heskey? :eek7:

Turamber and Heskey sitting in a tree!
B-U-M-M-I-N-Geee! :D

Edit: Yes, it's about as childish as I've been all year, but Turamber seems to have brought that out in me!

Clearly Turamber has finally lost the plot.

Lot's of people seem to be eating up everything the papers tell them in this thread too.
