zerging issues; iz all about the history of the server, casual players vs hc doods, teamplay, voice coms.. dedication blahblah.

its just one little thing that really annoys the people that want FG fights. they understand very well 'randoms' cant compete with an fg (balanced or unbalanced, they might not have the best gear, teamplay etc), so its OK if they bring more players with them...

here the trick part begins.

you might think that albs on excalibur should go "hmm.. we cant beat them 1fg.. lets try with 2fg and see". in my experience 1fg guild group or similar with good teamplay will have a somewhat fair fight with 2fg 'less experienced players', so thats cool.

thing is albs dont go from 1fg -> 2fg, they do the 1fg -> zerg trick

and imo, that is what annoyes the fuck out of us who wants fg fights.. or rather fair fights.

Krane, if you was in a decent Alb guild (AD, BF,FC) you might realise what a GOOD balanced Alb group is capable of.
Running round with 13 Wizards, 5 Cabbys, a few Infils and no Clerics, isnt a balanced group.

you can say alot of things about krane , but you cannot say he isn't a good player or didn't do well in alb tank group.

I dont think that being in a good balanced group is the point. The point is that it's more difficult to get that from a pick up group in Albion than in the other two realms due to the many classes you have to find.

As for zerging. Small space. Alot of Albs. Go figure. Alot of times what appears to be zerging is just mg congestion or meeting by accident. CG sucks still though and is just silly.

It's true, but the other problem is/was (according to a friend who had chars on Exc/Alb and I faced with the same on Pry/Alb) that despite the huge numbers of paladins, minstrels they (we) just couldnt get one with sc etc. Most of the minstrels said: sorry, I prefer solo or sorry I prefer stealth grps and paladins, well, I have no clue why couldnt we get pallies.

On Pry the hardest part with pick up grps are the clerics, once you cant find any (apart from guild grps), once there are shitloads - and they dont get grp, so wont come out for a while again. I think kinda lot paladins, minstrels, mercenaries, sorc's and theu's in Albion (on both server).

Hmm, is it just me or am I one of the few that would like to run into as many clueless people as hibs/mids do ?

Give me a brehon zerg anyday, 2-6 fg standing on each other to rest, same amount charging into a room / keep without a clue... Oh god, getting all horny by just thinking of all those free RPS...

Sadly enough, running into 2-6fg brehons is a rare occurance, and its not uncommon to have a group of thunderers / etc in that same 'zerg'...

A good hib pbaoe team (*cough* DH *cough*) can take down 2fg warders easy, 4fg with use of several ra's, and more with luck... Why cant you ? I know we can and often do take down 2FG brehons, just too bad we dont run into them so often...

Mythic wants epic battles, which does not include FG vs FG fights... Live with it, or play Lineage 2... Some seem to like it...

I think the problem for random groups on Alb/Excali is that there are just a huge amount of casual players. So you get a minstrel - but he is only staying an hour. You get a paladin but he doens't play much so isn't very fast to switch guard and twist. This pisses off your poor sorcerer so he logs after insta-dying 10 times. In the end, it's more satisfying for them to make a group with whatever is around, form a little zerg and try to find something to fight with their one or two hours of play time.

I'd jsut like to mention the 4fgh roaming emain last night when there was unfortuantly no alb zerg due to both mids &albs logging.

tbh pissed me off that i had to sit alb side amg for an hour waiting for all and sundary to piss off but thats part of the game.

Yes im sure it happens to all three realms, the MG's are bottle necks and are serving their purpose well.

if i can offer any advice its not to get upset (thus not enjoying yourself), if a situation has arisen that you dont enjoy then go do something else.

Fedaykin, I can remember a few fg encoutners TD vs. TB (pretty much the NO team I think, right?) and well, I think the winning was around 50/50. It all depends on the team ofc, as you cannot deny the fact, that higher RR has advantages (3 RR7 mages or 3 RR4 mages is a diference ). A lot are artifact farming atm, but we're getting our fg more and more often atm to rock emain =) Although I must say getting owned by NP over and over was pretty uncool last night, but well, I started to laugh at the 3rd time. =) At least I can blame the 2am in the morning and that I didn't play bard for a few weeks =)

Now to the original post. I got NO idea why alb is overpopulated, maybe because it has a more known storyline but it's definately true that all realms zerg in the numbers they can provide. This has always been and will always be. I for myself prefer fg vs. fg and even if it includes loosing sometimes, it still means a lot more satisfaction when u win. But I'd tell lies if I said I don't like a bit of zerging sometimes in Emain, just as part of personal vengeance or so =))
