WildStar is great. It has a very good feel to it, combat is simple and fun, movement fluid. GREAT housing system. Plus there is a lot to do in the game.

My main gripe is that it is too familiar, too much "Me Too!". It is very similar to WOW. In addition, the humour can sometimes feel abit too forceful. They need to have a little serious mode sometimes to appeal to a mature audience.

ESO is different, so I'll stick to that. Plus I cba another round with bugs and server instability. It'll happen here as well. Will check out WildStar a few years down the line I reckon

Tried the Wildstar beta this weekend, didn't last long with it. Why did it seem like every ability was a cleave? Horrible. :/

I got a bit further in the beta this weekend.

Previously i got through the ship and then went meh and stopped. Spent some time doing the first area on the planet and the game decided the game much improved after leaving the bloody ship.

I figure the ship is the tutorial and thus everything was mind numbing and irritating.....

On the planet i had a medic settler, the combat was action-rpg esque, more action than ESO, theres a more sort of bullet-hell dodge/avoid setup than ESO tactical blocking/dodge.

I'm going to try and get into some PvP tonight to try it out, but on the whole it seems fairly good thus far.

The whole beta giveaway thing smacks of a little desperation. First it was a weekend now a week. Seems they are not getting the numbers they want. With many playing ESO and trying to get to Vet 5 before Cragmore opens, I can understand why. Personally I just don't have the time for anything else right now.

Doubt I will even try this MMO as I can see ESO keeping me engaged and busy until CU Alpha.

Well, it is a new IP so understandable that they have to do some extra to get attention. Not sure about ESO, at VR10 there is not alot to do except Cyrodiil to be fair (which is awesome). Also worrisome that our guild (~175 members) have had about 60% loss in activity after subscription kicked in

WildStar is looking more interesting. It is a game for the PC with less clunky UI, plus a lot of systems in there. Also, housing... damn. Best since DAOC

Isn't that normal of all new MMO's now? We had 95% attrition after two months in The Old Republic. Think it will be a while before we all get under the same banner again.

Yeah it's normal, but still surprising since the first three weeks were positive despite the bugs, now the negativity has come and people stopped logging in

Head start for WildStar starts on Saturday, but where will you be creating your character? How can you know without a server list? You can't.So it's a good thing that the official server list has been released for both US and EU servers.A grand total of 22 servers will be available, with equal numbers for both regions and at least one PvE, RP-PvE, and PvP server for each.

US PvE servers are Avatus, Caretaker, Mikros, Thunderfoot, Orias, and Stormtalon.PvP players in the US can choose between Widow, Pago, and Pergo, while roleplayers will be on Evinora. There's also an Oceanic PvE server available, Myrcalus.

Meanwhile, English-speaking players in Europe will choose between Ascendancy and Eko for PvE, with Hazak for PvP and Lightspire for RP.German players get Ikthia and Kazor for PvE, Progentior for PvP, and Toria for RP.Last but not least, French players have three servers: Stormfather (PvE), Treespeaker (PvP), and Triton (RP-PvE).So you can start making your plans about where you want to go; the servers are all right here.

Anyone going to play this?

Made some characters on Hazak, but seeing how the queue is numbered in the thousands some other server might be a better choice.

I've been playing. The first day was a wash out with 24 hour long queues for Hazak. Got in on Sunday and played to 17 @ ~5pm then logged off.

Seems like fun, the Adventures are actually harder than they made out which is nice, the first shiphand mission for the Dominion is also pretty awesome.

Add me as a friend with Uirel@Hazak if you fancy :)

There are threads on reddit and the official forums with carbine responses for server transfers off of hazak, i expect them to move fairly rapidly on this one as its a really killer queue. I've set my PC to power on at 3pm so i can jump in the queue before leaving work :)

Craglorn, the 4 man and 12 man trials are quite fun. Guild did first try at 12 man last night, took a while but we got the first boss done a couple of times. Pretty good epic loot in Crag as well even solo just ganking the instances with a zerg. Cyrodiil is great such a massive pvp area.

Wildstar looks fun but never liked the cartoon wow graphics so doubted I would like this either. Is there any large RvR areas? Combat videos I have seen just reminds me of Tera but not as good.

Playing Dominion on Ascendancy. I enjoy the game alot. The game systems are familiar, yet bring something new.

Well, there is world pvp but nothing similar to DAoC or ESO.

I finally got back on my Hazak character last night. First time since Saturday, Dizzy heights of lvl 18....can see the difference being able to access a character makes ;)

Its a real shame as the Head start and first 2 days of the game i was sat in 4+ hour queues, didn't get tot he front before i had to go offline. So very much wasted.

I've very annoyed with Carbine launching with only 1 PvP, despite all the community feedback and pre order info. They really ballsed up there.

The remainder of my guild mates have now agreed to move to Contagion, so hopefully no more queueing issues, but i'm still very much annoyed at getting ~8 hours playtime for about 30 hours of queueing.

Yes the queues were buggy so many players that purchased the game got in the guest queues instead of the pre-order/subscriber queue.

As for the game itself, very fun imo.

Indeed, we've moved over to Contagion now and not a queue in sight. Infact the game feels less laggy aswell.

Now if onyl my Bots would A- Stay nearby B- not want to fight everything/nothing depending on the colour the 3rd bee from the left.

Queues seems to have become a bit better on Hazak now that things have settled down somewhat - still playing there, since I feel that it's probably going to be the most active server long-term.

Game gets better and better, i'm leveling fairly slowly due to available game time. Got my hoverboard yesterday morning, nice fun mount to cruise around on.

Found the most fun challenge thus far today, you get a motorbike and have to run down X number of a type of mobs in Y minutes, picking up health buffs along the way so the bike doesnt die...great fun.

Did some BGs on my engie in a guild group (5) much fun, went through one game in a continuous battle from start to finish, was a fair landslide victory, they kept being drawn into the uber battle while 1-2 of our guys picked up masks.

Started regretting my mates choice of a PvP server atm.

Been ganked 3+v1 8-11 times thus far. been gibbed by a stalker while mid fight/just after fight a dozen or so times.

Had a long 1v1 with an Esper, but i unable to do enough dmg in a stun to stop him healing up, so after 10 mins i just gave up and let him kill me.

Enigneer bots are 99% useless in PvP, the AI is to awful and they just walk up to the person, stand there, start to attack, notice that the person has moved away, walk up to them again repeat as necessary until dead.

The stalker insta gib is a bit much tho. Vs heavy armour, same level (-/+1) it shouldnt be possible to do 75% health is a single attack round. I'm sure it'll all even out at 50, but its a bit much atm.

I logged on this morning about 6am as it was hotter than sin in the house. Played a little, i saw a Exile moving around nearby but decided, its 6am i doubt they wnat the fight. They rode up behind me, looked at me for maybe a minute, i looked at them, when it got bring i pulled some mobs, they watched, then failed hard at a bank gank. I punted them over a ledge so had a few seconds to resolve my current mob battle, nope insta gib :/

Lvling engie doesn't seem so strong in the PvP atm:/ Although in Bgs the AoE dmg cleans up, in 1v1 its just not focused enough.

Have done the veteran adventures with a problem only once. Some stuck mobs in the crimelords adventure

WildStar is balanced around PvE, if you want balanced PvP you are playing the wrong game.

Who said anything about PvP? and balance? I said it was buggy as in bugged, not buggy as in to hard.
