As i mentioned before, it's the best of a bad bunch (for me). I can't have the tories in for clearly obvious reasons and the fact that Howard comes across as a desperate sleazeball. Blair is a liar - no doubt (aren't all politicians), but you get a real sense that he truly believes in what he stands for and is a passionate man. Lib dem, i'd rather choke on my own cock than vote them in; i suspect that they'll find their ideas unworkable if they get into power which was .... 1908 the last time that happened. A lot has changed.
My 2p.

Home Office figures show that, in England and Wales, there were nearly 25,000 firearm offences in 2003/2004, compared with less than 15,000 in 1998/1999.
In 2002/2003, there were 81 firearm fatalities compared with 49 in 1998/1999 - in 2001/2002 there were 97.

Like I say , I hate the nanny state bs the are forceing on me, but on consideration, as an example, id rather have no shooting and speed cameras, and a job, than the freedom to shoot more and no job.

Damini said:No shootings? Fire arms offences rose by 98% within 5 years from 1998, and have yet to actually drop for a single year that Labour have been in power.
maxi said:This is an absolutely meaningless statistic. Its the kind of answer you'd expect to hear from a Tory candidate! It explains nothing of the detail...no source...infact, wheres your source? I would actually like to know how this works.
I'm leaning toward the opinion that gun crime, violent crime etc r is no direct fault of one single party...they're all to blame(or, both) this kind of shit is ingrained in society and will only get worse unless radical changes are made. Only, I don't know what radical changes to suggest, yet. Er, ok: Socialism.
Damini said:My source was the home office website for the statistics. And you don't think a higher prevelence of guns and gun crimes is associated with a higher prevelence of shootings? Fine, if not, then you can research and show me that shootings are inversely proportional to the amount of gun crimes.
