The Paul McGrath one is epic sofar, even has a chapter where his mother explains why she had to give him to an orphanage, fella had some life :(

Yet in Ireland he can do no wrong, he could walk into anyones house drunk and they would give their last penny to help him :D

I read them years ago, still my favourite books. Havent got around to reading the latest yet. They're just so fucking awesome. Can't recommend them enough. Always read before watching the TV show, it's nothing on them.

I'm reading book 7/8 of Steven Erikson's Malazan Book of the Fallen series - pretty epic, pretty awesome, though I don't read as much as I used to, so I don't get as involved, which sucks.

That's because the Irish have a collective blind spot when it comes to people who piss their lives away on the sauce.

Meh every street has a sober cunt who makes their families lives miserable, just cause he had an alcohol problem doesn't take from the fact he inspired alot of people and brought them immense joy with his skill and playstyle

Although it is lame to quote myself I am in awe that a Wolves fan could be that cool ... And know that many words.

As for McGrath I am not sure that being one of the greatest defenders to have ever played the game or having that many caps for Ireland could be described as wasting a life. The man had huge demons and a terrible childhood, yet he kept fighting and overcoming. Really should read that book.

Felt after years of arguing against the stories of the bible i should actually read it once in my life so i wont feel such a fraud arguing against something i havent read hehe ..

So am currently reading the bible..

Not because im religious because im not .. but to understand where beliefs come from and all

Its actually a little interesting matching this with that and stuff .. ah they belive this because it says such and such .. only 10% in according to kindle tho .. so lots to go still :)

also its a free english version not an old king james or anything hehe

Start with Dragonflight. It's where the Pern series starts.
Once you get through the first 4-5, you can start branching off if you feel like it.

Currently reading A Dance with Dragons by George R R Martin, got Terry Pratchett's Snuff to read and have about another five on the go including The White Queen by Philippa Gregory (also have her The Red Queen to read), a book about the family Nancy Astor belonged to, one about The Cecils and a trashy romance Mills and Boon style book.

Between Men by Eve Kosofsky Sedgwick, can't say I'm a huge fan so far though the subject does interest me. It might pick up? Who knows.

I'm reading a Joe Abercrombie book. Forget the name, it's a trilogy iirc. Bought it a while back but only just gotten round to reading it.

I have recently just finished Carte Blanche which is the new Bond book by Jeffrey Deaver (got a signed copy whoop whoop!). Was very good! Think it could be made into a good film too.

How are you enjoying his stuff so far Chet? Mort wasn't my favorite to be honest but I liked Jingo.

Loving it, finished Moving Pictures, which was very very good. Fifth Elephant next I think.
