I'm now upto Malazan Book of the Fallen 8.

epic stuff, thanks to you lot for putting me onto it. Love coming across vast series of books just as the last one is published no waiting for the next one.

Icarium is one scary individual, and I'd seriously think twice about working for the Trygalle Trade Guild lol.

What about being in Shurq Elalle's crew? Sounds like exhausting work :D

I love Eriksons flair for interesting characters and organisations. If I could pick one though, I'd love to read more about the Mott Irregulars.

I couldnt stand the Trudi Canavan books

Far to simplistic, predictable and boring. Formulaic writing with no flair or style :/

I got about a quater of the way through Use of Weapons and gave up. Consider Phleabes was boring and fairly predictable. Also I had no care about the characters.

The player of games was better, but still a bit shit imo.

Use of Weapons just seemed the same as the other two books which for me, is a waste of time :(

Finished Griftopia, heartily recommend it if someone wants an overview of what caused the financial crisis without spending years trying to learn the mechanics behind it. It also mentions how damaging speculative markets are, and how they came to be.

After reading it I'm moving on to Game of Thrones in preparation for Dance with Dragons(It's coming out!!).

Ah right. I've heard it's a good book but never got round to reading it. I seem to remember it being one of the books everyone puts on their personal statement when applying for maths at uni :) Post what you think of it when done
