I'm actually late into the world of pratchett so I'm really enjoying those atm, going postal and making money are my favourites so far.
Try Night Watch.
Arguably the best Pratchett ever. Very dark in tone compared to many of the others. Previous to that I liked Mort and Witches Abroad the best. Witches Abroad is awesome for the scene with the cat and the vampire. I don't want to give it away for anyone who hasn't read it but I was nearly crying with laughter when I first read that.
On War-Jesus I looked at that in some of my history tutorials last year. That is hard reading!!
Anathem by Neal Stephenson. It's good but rather long. A proper tome of a book.
