I'm reading "The First Man In Rome" by Colleen McCulloch. It hasn't really gripped me yet, but I shall persevere.

I've just finished reading the first two books of the JetLag Travel Series; Molvania: A Land Untouched by Modern Dentistry & Phaic Tan: Sunstroke on a Shoestring, both are fucking hillarious.

So I've just decided to restart reading Bill Bryson's "A Short History of Nearly Everything", as I'd started reading it shortly after it was first released, and stopped for some reason, it's a very interesting book IMO.

3/4 of the way through the 2nd book of Robin Hobbs Liveship traders.

Really into it, I didn't think it could get any better after her Assassin trilogy but it has.

Erm assasin trilogy has a sequel trilogy now Cal :p - also very good (if not better than both her previous series)

Just finished reading the latest Terry Brooks effort - a sci-fi/horror thingy which was rather good. I also recently read the latest Feist book which was ok (think he's running out of steam now) and I'm now halfway through the Terry Goodkind book - Chain fire.

The recent Pratchett book was also funny - well worth a read (kinda tails off a bit towards the end tho).

Got Nick Hornby's book to go next - A Long Way Down. looking forwards to reading that..

I agree about the Feist books Goose, it just seems like the old characters from the start under a different name.

I started reading the liveships last Wednesday and have been hooked, I am looking forward to finish them, so I can start the new Assasin ones and read Stan Nicholls final book of his Quicksilver Trilogy.

Top Book :)

The God Delusion - Richard Dawkins.

Saw that the other day, was tempted but figured it was preaching to the converted with me (he he) so what was the point?

You might enjoy it :)

Gives you some nice ammo if you ever get into a debate and a few interesting things to think about. Anyway, what's wrong with being shown how right you are ? :)

And also James Clemens series (Banned and the Banished)

I've just finished The First Chronicles Of Druss The Legend - David Gemmell (which I really liked btw, my first dip into the series).

I'm now going through The Year Of Our War by Steph Swainston, it's a bit different and very good.

Other than that I recently re-read The Hollow Man by John Dickson-Carr (no, nothing to do with the film....) and am currently going through Papa La Bas by the same author. Anyone into their 'Locked Room Mysteries' should read The Hollow Man immediately.
