Although some people may well have left with TT if you look at the server plots the population has been dropping consitently for years. Maybe the fg scene would have lasted a month or two longer if this hadn't all happened but the server was still in terminal decline.

Ofc, the server would still of died in the end (ty GoA), but it would of lived a longer life with a healthier population.

I'm not saying that these people would of still played, I'm just saying that this is what made the line, this is where they chose to do it.

I'm sure I can find you a big load of people who decided to leave at this excact point due to this excact incident. As already said, this wouldn't of saved the server, something I'd like to dedicate to GoA, but it would of made it survive longer. The action this "majority" (the fg that decided to PvE the next relic back the night after) took, didn't excactly slow the process down. It sure made me, and others with me, pissed enough to leave.

We can have this discussion all day, argueing for and against, but fact remains, the people who left were not the ones who disagreed with us.

As for there being no winners, the people in question made sure to rub it in when they took the second relic. They sounded like winners to me. Though I see your point, in the end, we're all loosers in this case, their reaction and statements after what they did made it seem to me as if they had won, and they seemed to think so themselves aswell. Esp if you have a good read in Sollers' goodby thread where he explained the suspension.

the reason why there are so few hibs/mids is because of punkass albs who destroyed the cluster and made people reroll US/German servers.

Back on topic. I am sad to see the server in it's death throws but you cannot blame it on a single guild. If anyone takes the time to look back through FH RvR section then it is easy to see where the rot set in.

Imho it is down to us as a community ( I include myself in this before the flames start ). What was a MMORPG became too personal for far too many. The qqing about " lame gg you added " etc and the absolute bollocks spouted about " Agramon is to be a fg v fg zone, if you add you will die irl " has as much to do with the current state of the server as any single guild.

For me, as co gm of Synergy, I was totally fucked off when most of the guild became leetist wankers, only interested in " omg m8s we wtf pwned X, Y and Z. The cancer of the server started when people here decided the grass was greener playing elsewhere.

There was plenty of fun to be had but guilds saw it as a personal affront if they lost in a balanced 8 v 8. We all saught to summon the imaginary adds and so the rot set in.

We all ought to be ashamed by our past, and present attitude to a brilliant game. Yes GOA/Myhtic/those Froggy bastards have not helped matters, but it is down to us, all of us that the server is in its final death throws.

Perhaps the next big MMORPG will be treated better by us, lets hope so. Lets also hope that any future forum, wehter it be FH or whatever is better modded to the tune that personal/guild slagging is completely forbidden.

I also want to make clear that I don't believe CM/AC-raids are responsible for the death of Dyvet alone, but they sure as hell provided a good share.

And yes, I do have high hopes for next MMORPG (WAR), let's see what we can achieve there, together!

Just 1 thing I see people misunderstand some times.

When I say CM, I mean CM + the community that supports them and aid them in their cause. I don't mean the whole guild, nor people who play with them, or people who know them.

Ie. When I say, CM AC'd a relic, I mean, that a bunch of people, with the attitudes that we here on FH recognize as a certain kind of attitude, took a relic during the night.

I know people in both CM and DA that I think are nice people, but they (hopefully) understand that my comment wasn't directed at them, simply because they weren't there that night, taking that relic.

Bleh, hard to describe this so that everyone will have a clear understanding and don't misread it. CM is not always directed at the guild, but a group of people that plays by the same means as we associate with the playstyle of that guild.

I hate when people always have to start basing their arguements on the meaning of certain words. If the grammar and language is so shit that you don't understand what it says, ok, but some things I thought peopled learned over the years.

I don't think they did it on purpose, they had their reasons for doing what they did when they did it.

It's like, "so, we're online at 6 am again (bloody day/evening-shifts at work), for the 100th day in a row, and I'm boored of killing mobs. Wanna go kill some guards instead? Lets hit it."

Then, "it's a game, they are our enemies, why should we care what our enemies think, they wouldn't be our enemies then, would they?! Besides, what else should we do all night?"

Anyhow, there's been enough whine-threads about RR's and AC raids and all that shit to make it clear that they didn't have everyone on their side when they did what they did. They chose to ignore it. Some people decided enough was enough, and left, due to it.

There's a key-thing to this, it's called communication. It failed. Different parts of the community wanting different things, and not being able to discuss the matter. In this case, some wanted to AC, some wanted them to stop doing it.
