Looks like Russia has backed down for now, try again in a couple of years. The timing is all wrong, they need Trump in charge.

I’m not going to believe that just cos a few tanks have moved. Wait and see.

The Duma just passed a resolution to recognise the ‘breakaway republics’ today.

Nah, I think Putin has over extended, he now knows that the moment they fuck about is the time Russia gets its revenue stream shut down. No money, no point. Germany is Russia's bitch, and by extension so is the EU. Bring Nordstream 2 online and they double down. Act early and they lose that.

My missus has a bunch of Ukrainian developers and scrum masters on her teams, and many of the ones in the east have literally been packing bags to go west this week if they can. Of course some of them have nowhere else to go.

In other words, the west must stop interacting with Ukraine and allowing it to buy weapons it wants to defend itself, meanwhile Russia can continue having its tanks and mortars in Ukraine which aren’t wanted by Ukrainians but that’s ok because we just claim they don’t exist.

I think they are just getting pissy that nobody actually cares what they want another sovereign nation to do, because it's not going to happen. Putin has over played his hand.
