Because sadly it isn't popular among a target audience it seems to need to justify itself and stop them going to Netflix etc.

The main thing I hear from parents on parents evenings is 'History is great, I didn't like it at school, but I wish I was interested then!'

But yeah, the BBC is going to go after the money, not the educational content.

But I do think it shows after all the documentaries are good quality but the prime time TV is mostly ball sacks with Michael McIntyre or Nish Kumar.

Doesn't mean there is a plan though. Everyone is prob fending for themselves or co-ordinated by the CDC. He didn't say it wasn't being distributed. In fact it even says in the CNN article they are being distributed it just need to be apmplified.
That also says 5.4m in the UK but the BBC has just reported only 4.6m. So Bloomberg numbers seem a bit off.

Whilst I agree - Biden specifically has not said it - it looks like the incoming administration has said it.

TBH - the US' rate of vaccination is pretty good. If there's "no plan" then it shows that healthcare professionals are doing their job without direction (which, frankly, they're capable of doing - get them the vaccines, the professionals know what to do).

I think that's what's happening here really - Bojo doesn't really have a plan other than "these are the priorities" (as SAGE came up with) and "get healthcare pro's the vaccines" - once that's done, the rest is down to the people on the ground.

Basically the "trust the professionals to know what they're doing" approach.

Get them the vaccines and the healthcare workers, GPs etc know better than government what needs to happen. Give them what they need and get out of their fucking way.

That's been pretty successful, no? So Biden coming in and saying they're going to have a "wartime" effort to get the vaccine out is one of two things: 1) taking credit for a rollout that the people are handling just fine, thankyouverymuch or 2) potentially dangerous interference from government in something that's going well.

Personally, if I was in charge of the Dem's I'd monitor what was happening closely and only think about stepping in where escalation is needed - where shit has hit the fan.

Part of my dislike for the BBC stems from the fact it is a highly respected world publisher, gets 5bn guaranteed income and just pisses it up the wall with mostly shite ,when it could be challenging the worlds issues, taking on corporations, delving deep into the real truth.
But it chooses to jobs for the boys, dont rattle the cage, spout the mantra and end up pissing everyone off.
