Since I'm working in the Bay area right now I can 100% believe that. It's probably the only place in the world I've been to that's more expensive than London, especially the price of rent.

I was taken to a restaurant the other night where I had a $250 steak, and that was a cheap choice, while a bunch of homeless were camped out on the opposite side of the street and no one even commented on it. Only in America.

Habe a friend from bay area who has been living in finland for year or so. Hes stunned at how few homeless there are here, thougjt all of europe was like this, then he went to frankfurt and its just as bad as US

I found homeless in Bristol to be the worst I've seen, the weird part about is that the locals have seemed to adopt it and make it a unique feature of Bristol - like there's cool areas to hang out where homeless people are.

It's properly weird; accept them into society rather than helping.

I think it's more to do with the cost of living there

San fran is on a peninsula so has very limited land. With silicon valley on its door step lots want to work there and so prices have risen rediculously. It was bad when i first went there in 2000. Even worse now.

Was in town today, IZ.ru were filming "trump supporters" in Helsinki. The Trump supporters in MAGA hats were being told what to say and where to stand by the tv crew. Dont think any of them saw irony of situation. There was only a dozen or so of them but im sure the official tally will be recorded as hundreds
