i will give my point of view as an infil, yes probably assassins are best soloing characters, but, can u really solo in the nowdays? i mean, can u go throw emain breifine gorge and find solo enemys? or can u find someone in the frontier playing or doing something alone? cant really, and is a pity.
only solution is camping mgs, i usually move a lot, checking arrival paths to mgs, and even this way most of the action is always in mgs, where u can wait till someone is coming and pa him, something hard to do in open field.

dont blame assassins for camping when is quite hard to do nothing else.

I just started playing my infil in RvR, still very much a n00b to the class and have no buffbot. basicly, I suck.

I started playing infil with the illusion that I was going to be able to solo in RvR, if I felt like it. Yeah right...
I found it impossible, in Odin's I mostly get killed by 2-8 hib stealthers, in emain 2-8 sb's. To me it matters little if I'm killed by 2 or 8 of them really, duo, or tripple still means I stand no chance. ( At least not at the low RR I am ).

Yes there usually is alot of alb stealthers at atk - amg, at mtk - mmg are just as bad.
I sometimes duo with a friend, we went to odin's, faced a fg mid stealthers at amg

Yet RvR as an infil sometimes offers very nice 1 vs 1 or 2 vs 2 fights. But when you don't get passed amg (sometimes not even that far) without beeing killed by several enemy stealthers you I will try to stick together with others.

My dear Glottis tell me how sb are equal to an infil please when:

(taken from vnboards)

1. Str/Con debuffs effect our weapon skill more then it does our Albion/Hibernia counter-parts due to the fact that we can ONLY specialize in a strength based weapon.

2. We can only choose one damage type, Slash, which does not give us the advantage our counterparts have. We have no primary targets that are vulnerable to our ONLY possible damage type. However we frequently run across Infiltrators and Nightshades that have the option to specialize in a damage type that we are vulnerable to and we are not afforded such a benefit. The classes that we DO have an advantage against (weak to Slash) are not classes we were made to kill these classes include:
-Heros, Wardens, Champions, Druids.
None of these classes are the type of class in which we would normally find away from a large group and because of this these classes are rarely in our crosshairs. Meanwhile our natural targets fit into 2 categories, Neutral to slash and Resistant to slash:
Neutral Targets- Cloth casters, Minstrels, Scouts, Infiltrators.
Resistant Targets- Rangers, Nightshades.
What good does it do us if ALL of our “Natural” targets are either neutral to or resistant to our ONLY available damage type? Meanwhile, for our counterparts in Albion/Hibernia, the tables are turned because they have the OPTION of specializing in a damage type to fit their intended targets. We only want some kind of equality in this field.

3. We have no option of a Str/Dex based weapon (see #1) this is insane due to the fact that our primary and secondary stats are Dex/Quick, inherently giving us lower weapon skill then our Albion/Hibernian counterparts, especially hurting our Kobald/Valk brothers and sisters.

4. We are the only assassin class without a “Stun off evade” the problem is our counterparts can evade an attack and stun then proceed to use off evade styles that use less endurance, we however have to reposition wasting valuable stun time or use an opening style using valuable endurance. Also our ONLY stun style being second in an evade chain gives us a much lower chance of getting it off, being as we have more of an a chance to be evaded/miss/be blocked/parried and lowering our chance to even get our stun off. And please please PLEASE let me stress to you how important the ability to stun is.

5. By the way that Left Axe works we are FORCED to specialize in it to an equal level as our main hand specialization to keep our duel wield damage up. Thus we have to either keep our weapon Specialization low, giving us a lower weapon skill then our counterparts or forcing us to abandon a skill that our counterparts do not have to do. So in short we feel as if we need more specialization points in order to keep our weapon skill up to par with our Albion/Hibernia counterparts.

6. Our realm abilities are inferior to our counterparts. To say it simply some of my fellow Shadowblades have been joking that since 1.62 went live we need “Shadowrun” in order to get away from the superior Infiltrators and Nightshades. How sad is that? Simply to say the least we feel as if our special realm ability is less then desirable

fact is i think LA nerf was good but since we are on par dmg wise to your main targets/enemies inf/ns we do lack something.
we as the post posted by Jaond get hurt alot more and got alot less then our counterparts.
before LA nerf that didnt matter so much since LA SB's did insane dmg but we dont any more and still lack alot of abilities/styles/points to specc.
