damn badluck brannor i personally agree with the suspension.. a friend on ultima online sent me a file told me to open it i said what is it he said its a macroer program or summin i said .. fine and turned out it was a virus (i know nothing bout computers/virus and crap lol) but whole computer messed up couldnt run ultimaonline either ... reinstalled it then said password was incorrect and got emails saying someone had accessed my account on there website .. so after emails i got it deactivated BUT it wasnt locked.. the guy just reactivated it with same password and then asked them again and they sorted it but id lost everything so better safe than sorry i guess was ur account ok though? he hadnt like sold all ur items or summin? well see ya in hibbie hope gets sorted v soon sorry if above info was vague and unnecessary and imo banning someone even if they did do the above thing seems bit extreme but maybe im too lineant (errr spelling rofl? )

so unless your very rich I doubt you'll get eny help from them

Unlucky there Brannor. It seems you have suffered at the hands of someone unable to seperate the internet from their real life after they took a grudge over God knows what out on your account. At least it is good to see that GOA actually do stuff I can't be the only one itching to know who it was (the speculation!) so let us know when you find out

As for the haxoring itself, I'm suprised someone bothered. If you were semi-competent you would have at the very least made sure you didn't get caught and in which case you would have bigger fish to fry anyway.

Dont know why people say you need a firewall since your never 100% safe, firewalls can help against DDoS sure but there will always be exploits, nobody is 100% safe from attacks not even if you have every update of the best firewall there is, you are never 100% safe.
Its an endless game, some people design programs like firewalls other people make exploits cant do a thing about that.
Just for all you people that think they are safe with their l33t anti hax0ring firewall....

Just make sure you leave things like passwords and other data in a secure place (I wont advice on a piece of paper like some people say...) put it somewhere were noone can get it, only way to do that is to remember the password and if you cant remember it change it into something you can remember.

ahh ok camping bind stones is just stupid but surely hed then have some guards constantly on him? or dont they attack enemy realm players as they should get in? tbh if i knew how id be tempted to go to an enemy realm just to walk around for a laugh and makes people jump but wouldnt attack anyone even if attacked.. but then again dont even know how so no temptation yay

You dont, and CD-Keys can only be used once, so no one cares what happens to it after the one time.

Logged on irc some day, and brannor says to me that he reports arcanis for nuking from inside amg. Rightfully so, though as far as i know (at least what i expierenced) you fall into amg only in huge zerg situations and sometimes get stuck there, with only option to get out - type /stuck. Well, ban followed, though 2 people were affected by it, and one got punished for stupidity of the other one.

All i said was that it's a braindead policy. You don't seem to agree and you failed to clarify why you feel that this is a good policy. Or perhaps you do not think it is a good policy, but that it should be enforced just because it's written down.

But if someones tempers with one's account - think about your credit card - i think first thing you do - call to bank to cancel it. Same should be applied here.

I get the feeling you just like to see Brannor banned... Would you feel the same about this policy if someone did this to you?

Well, if someone logged in Krolllka, made a trip to mid and started to gank greys there, first thing i would ask is blocking of account and change of passwords.
Actually i feel a bit bored with the game, so maybe i would not care at all.

1) No, you can get there if you want to. (illegal)
2) If I understand correctly, you're saying that someone else was using Arcanis's account at the time, and he payed the price for it? If so, was the account willingly shared?

My PC was hacked, I reported it and asked GOA to watch my account. Two days later, someone used my account deliberately to do this, and tried to cover this from me by going all the way back into DF to where I had logged out. I get 500rp, and 1% durability lost on my epic armour and X amount of time on my account suspended. All this, WITHOUT my consent.

Sorry for Arcanis if a "friend" of his got his account suspended. You are warned about this. I sure as hell wouldn't even let Twiz take a look at my char. I wouldn't even let Kemor do it.

What Kemor wrote was that "All players are responsible for their accounts".

PC's arent "just hacked", it requires the person at the pc to do something.

ps. firewalls do absolutely diddledoo for PC's, what you need is a virus scanner.
