Maybe, but I bet he'll sell a bucket load of em. Celebrity endorsement works for everything else, why should cars be different? People are mugs, so someone is going to mug them.

I'm prepared to bet you real money he won't. He's not the first celebrity to try (50 Cent had a crack with a range of tricked out Pontiacs. Pontiac no longer exists). Pimping $200 headphones is one thing, trying to offload $100,000 cars is another. There's actually quite a bit of research that says celebrity endorsments of cars are actually a turn-off for a lot of customers (the Jennifer Lopez Fiat 500 thing has backfired spectacularly in the US for example).

They are massively popular though. They were one of our top sellers this Christmas, and up to a point, Chilly's right, celebrity endorsement can work. Ironically, now that Beats and Dre have ended their association, all those headphones will probably become collector's items in a few years.

They are indeed popular, but as we know popular does not equate to good. They are woefully substandard for what they charge.

Agree, very overpriced. A £200+ pair of Dre Beats are about the same as a pair of Sennheisers a quarter of the price.

A friend got a pair of Beats for Christmas despite me showing him a £40 pair of Sound Magics which were better quality. They are very much a statement. You are buying them for people to see you wearing them not for sound quality.

Much like Skillcandy headphones. They were hilarious. All fashionable but woeful build quality and sound, and huge prices. It amazes me so many people buy such shit tech for such high prices, but then they're not called the general public for no reason. People who buy Macs without a genuine reason for doing so should all be culled.

I enjoyed it. I wouldn't say no to Jeremy's Lambo. Even liked the colour. Good episode, the boys doing what they love doing best - racing fast cars in the 2nd most beautiful country in the world.

P.S. I'm kinda getting bored with the star in the car thing now.

It was the best episode for a long time, but I still struggled to keep my attention on it. If they stick to more car focused episodes like this then they may well redeem themselves for the last 3 seasons.

Decent episode, nothing amazing, but entertaining none the less. Didn't know will i am is so, hmm, insecure. Or am i the only one who picked up on it, compared to his stage-persona.

How is he insecure?

It was a decent ep, better than I was expecting. Maybe they have listened to some of the negative feedback from the last few seasons. It would've been nice if they had actually reviewed a car though.

Oh... well I don't know, I've met quite a few performers when I managed a nightclub and you'd be surprised at the massive contrast between some of their on and off stage personas. They're just people at the end of the day. :)

Yeah meant no offense(doubt will even browses around here :D), jsut that it was a surprise as i've only seen his alter ego/stage character. Looked more like a quiet nerdy tech guy in our office then a multibillion superstar ;)

This tbfh. Anyone who knows anything understands that they're shit, anyone who knows nothing thinks that they're "cool" though.

At least you get to keep the cash in your pocket though, eh?

I have 3 pairs of Sennies, one for bedroom, one for living room, one set earphones for mobile listening.

Bedroom pair have been going since 2003 and were used for everything for the first 4 years. Replaced the cable once (it's one of those removable cables).

Living room pair have been going since 2007.

Earphones have been going since 2008. 4 YEARS for a pair of earphones and they're not showing any signs of death. They're used every day for a couple of hours.

I don't get why anyone buys anything but Senny. It baffles me.

I see a lot of love for AKG, Beyer and Grado too.

I could do with a set of cans.

I used to use Sennheiser but then I tried a pair of Sound Magic's due to good reviews and I have not looked back. I am on my second pair now after a argument with an ex killed my first pair but in terms of bang for your buck they are great headphones. This site is also insanely helpful with headphone related questions.

Sounds like you're all arguing over sort of the same shit in your own respective price brackets to me.

But then I know fuck all about headphones :)

The most recent episode was AIDS, absolute AIDS.

Hammond is such an unbearable fanny; just GTF.
