Yep. They should put dogs down if they're so genetically fucked through years of inbreeding that they can't deal with a little-above-room-temperature 23 degree heat and a stroll on the beach without severe breathing difficulties.

Yes, but I think that’s slightly missing the point...

Meh. It was 23 degrees in scouseland at peak this weekend. How fucked could they have been outside?

If it's the animal cruelty point then all that does is show how cruel it is when this breed of dog can't exist without pain on a mildly warm day.

Well I would say any decent human being..especially one who had invested in three dogs of the same breed would know the limits.
But no..they are part of the couldnt give a fuck underclass who are infesting society.
Im standing on a plinth with my finger under my nose right now.

I don’t disagree at all about the systemic cruelty of weird dog breeding, but that’s not the dog’s fault, and the owners’ situational cruelty is a separate issue. These dogs are essentially disabled through no fault of their own, and should be treated by their owners’ accordingly.

While 23 degrees might not be baking hot, it's warm enough. Especially when you're covered in fur. There's also no telling how long they'd been out in the sun before the owners came into the pub. I normally disagree with everything Job says but in this case he's absolutely spot on. The owners are complete cunts and I hope you have more consideration for any animals you may have, now or in the future @Scouse.

Dogs in general are really bad at dealing with heat. Strange breeds more so but dogs in general are worse than humans at it. They need shade and water. They don't have the same mechanisms available that some other mammals do.

Yet furry animals have their own mechanisms (panting) because they aren't very good at sweating.

Leaving dogs in the sun is a easy way for them to get exercise without moving much.

To be fair, I've never met an owner of a bulldog that wasn't essentially disabled themselves. Why else would you buy such a broken, pug ugly spittle-machine? ;)

On a similar note I'm seriously going to have to stop going to the Tesco Express because I'm getting so wound up watching chavs..notgiveafuckers..scallies and BMW/Rangy drivers who park in the disabled bays, they just don't even give it a second thought, the car park can be empty, but they swan in, park in the bay..no blue badge, just like it's not even a thing to them.
Last week two white BM's were parked in the bays and the owners started a twenty minute conversation with each other sitting on the bonnets.
I know, cos I went back for more beer and they were still there.
I'm that close to putting a cheap hidden camera on the bay and posting it to the local facebook page.

Lamp on phone. Unfocused. Away with the fairies. As usual. [Dum dee Dum. Is it possible to learn this power? Not from a Jedi! Dum dee Dum...]

Mrs: blah blah mumble waffle... "on Saturday night, and you'll have to baby sit their kids"...

Lamp: [suddenly becomes Aware] what? No way!

Mrs: why not?

Lamp [desparately trying to find an excuse] "I was going to go to Toshi station to pick up some power converters"

*silence*

Lamp blinks. Genius!

Mrs: Are motorbike clutch cables expensive to replace ?

"What time"?

That seems...unlikely. Bank managers don’t control their ATM functionality

TBH I thought that, just a grunt with no other excuse...still its a sign of the chaos in RBS that its own bank machines cant use its own app facilities...she had to go to Tescos ..which is probably a sign of things to come.

I got some stick for suggesting it at the time, but I see the net is closing in on the fire brigade for incompetence in the Grenfell fire.
Just about everything they did was a cock up...not because the firemen were useless, the euipment, protocols and chain of command are worfully lacking for tower fires.
Exoect some heads to roll and some proper kit brought in.
For starters the firemen were all using standard packs that wouldnt last long enough for them to get past the eight floor.

As a firefighter I know how dangerous cuts to the fire service are

HB old bean :)

Other than lego, what you got planned?

It was on Sunday (3rd) didn't get up to much, went out on Saturday afternoon with @russell for a fancy afternoon tea (sat in the sun in the posh gardens of a fancy hotel) and I've had the week off work this week

Went into London on Tuesday and went to the Lego store in Leicester Square and had a mooch around the west end (sooo many Japanese tourists....like hundreds of them!!)
