Yeah FileBot has a few enforced suggestions for things that might just happen to pass the dev money but it's easy enough to disable them, even where it looks like the custom install option (ie minus the smiley pack or whatever it is) is greyed out it's still clickable (sneaky, that).
Maybe if I'd looked into SickBeard before I would've gone with that but I've spent a while putting this naming string together in FileBot today and it's working perfectly so I'll stick with it. I think SickBeard is more of a complete solution where FileBot's sole raison d'etre is a renamer/organiser, which it does really well. It's been a bit funky with a couple of shows but that was thetvdb.org naming eps in an unexpected manner more than FileBot. It can only work with what the db's give it. Season 3 of Archer in particular, I downloaded them when E01-E03 were Heart of Archness parts 1-3 but those 3 eps are listed as specials on tvdb and then all of the following eps in that season are actually "downloaded ep number -3" but FileBot lets you drag the eps around to make sure it's all ok. I don't even know what's going on with American Dad though, I remember there was disagreement when they aired about which eps belonged in each season.
