The usual no lights and non reflective clothing?

No details but it's another large vehicle at a junction scenario with added darkness.

Edit - I know the junction well too - its nothing special just a bit wide for crossing as a pedestrian.

Christ - that makes an SS uniform look tame - think amazon realise they have people flogging this?
I have a golly I have had since I was born and never considered it racist. If it was then you wouldn't be able to buy them today as the sellers would be prosecuted.

yeah I remember those. My mum collected em. She lived in Kenya for a decade and my brother is half Kenyan - just shows how different things were 30 years ago.

You can still buy them - lots of shops in dorset sell them but they are pretty much tainted nowadays. It doesn't help that shortened to wog they became a racial insult.

Did Enid Blyton create them or did they already exist by then? I think they were based on blacked up white performers which were popular in music halls back at the early part of the twentieth century.

There was the black and white minstrel show on tv in the late 70's and early 80's, which was in part a homage to Al Jolson who used to do the music halls 'blacked up' doing his 'Mammy' act

Lots of people thought he was actually black too. Never get away with it these days

Apparently blacked up white minstrels are ancient dating back at least as far as the 1850s - hopefully people nowadays actually know what black people look like rather than these weird looking things.

Black n White minstrels - looks odd now:

Im the first to complain about pettiness..but on every level Golliwogs were immensely derogatory to black people.

When I looked up the wiki it reminded me of something I had forgotten - I actually remember when blackjacks (the sweets) had a golly on them (now a pirate).

Apparently the Black n White minstrel show was evil - it brought us Pam Ayers and Keith Harris!

What's the best non-Apple tablet you can buy right now for watching movies and browsing?
