Do you also have slave labour camps in 17 different countries now?Yes it's fucking awful.
However, having been completely anti-gun in my youth, I now think that, on balance, the right to bear arms is a good, not a bad thing.

Were it not for that attitude, this would not have happened. It put the guns in the hands of a crazy fuck...
Nobody died.I've seen a lot of anti-gun pish on Twitter and retweets from Michael Moore, but take away the guns, and something will simply replace them.
Not true.
Guns are controlled in the UK. Yet we have quite a lot of gun crime...
But yes, you're right, something else did replace guns there
How is it a new level of low? America has suffered a worse gun killing before. Most of these people cannot differentiate between a child and an adult, doubt they even give a shit about "human life" and just see bipedal things as stuff to shoot.New level of low, horrible news, no comment on the soapbox rush.

For most sane people shooting kids is worse as they still have their entire lives ahead of them, that is not the point. The people that carry out these types of attack do not give a fucking care about who/what they shoot at. It is not a new low, that is my point. From the shooters POV, yeah, same deal probably. From a neutral POV, regular level of shooting. From my POV shooting kids is worse.
Opinion based so requires no more justification i think.
Maybe they would be replaced with an authoritarian government that kills more than all of the gun crime in history put together? Maybe not. But maybe...
If that were to happen, you think a few idiotic people with glocks stand a chance ?

No problem, and all the children being slaughtered in Africa, the Middle East and other war torn countries? That a new low too? Children are being slaughtered everyday around the world, today's killing in America is not more news worthy than some fucker (NATO or terrorists) killing scores of kids elsewhere in the world. The new low comment was from outside POV though. Worse, more horrible, other terms like that. It wasn't a commentary on the shooters psyche, or the reasons, just the event.
I understand what you're saying, just that i didn't mean to comment from that POV.
I am not, I am merely pointing out that it is not a new low in any sense of the words. It just seems to have made headline news cos it happened in our own backyard regardless of the fact that "we" are killing children in someone elses backyard and yet noone says a dime. Sweep it under the carpet, they are not one of us so fuck it, cannot be news.Yes they are being slaughtered elsewhere in the world and saying this is more horrible then other school shootings doesn't take the horrible away from those events.
I was simply saying that to me this is worse then previous school shooting stories i've seen, no need to make it into something bigger then that.
