I've only had a quick look on gocompare so far rather than shopped around properly but the cheapest quotes they gave me were £950 for fully comp and £999 for third party fire and theft. I'm not too bothered by fully comp but I'm willing to pay less to have it

What model is the estate ? Octavia or Fabia ? Did they make Felicia estates in 99, i don't remember.

It's an Octavia. My current thinking is that I'm going to go for it, most people's opinions about them seem pretty positive.
