In need of a car and my mum's just called about a well looked after '99 1.9 litre Diesel Skoda estate for £500 from a trustworthy source. It would cost me £1000 to insure it fully comp but I'm extremely tempted.

What model is the estate ?

Octavia or Fabia ? Did they make Felicia estates in 99, i don't remember.

I had a 1.4 petrol Octavia 2002 that i got in 2007 and it seved me well for just over 5 years, trying to sell it atm.

New car is slightly more fun though :p

If Hugh Heffner can wear his bath robe all day an be classy then why can't we wear our towels and be the same.

Having said that I've been in a shirt and tie since 7:30 this morning :(

Yes, I know its still 2 months until Halloween, but please recommend some scary films
(not interested in buckets of gore & blood, in fact the less of that the better)

Decent movies. Don't care if they're B&W, subtitled, small independents, big block-busters, whatever.

(And don't say "Scary Movie" or any of those dreadful "Saw" movies or you'll get a jar of tiger spunk dumped over your head)

I think he means that small period of time where you were contemplating buying a new car, was it 2 years or 3? :p

A Tale of Two Sisters looks interesting. Will check that one out Cheers, Waz. And no, not seen REC, but the fact their making a stack of sequels puts me off a tad. And yes, Event Horizon is a great movie. Might have to re-watch this weekend.

About 6 months and 3-4 posts/threads i think, fair enough alot of people aren't into cars and thats fair enough but if you aren't interested there are/were lots of other threads about bikes/cakes/asses/tits and politics to post in. It's very easy to be negative on the internet if you so choose, personally i don't see the point.

Was definitely alot more than that, it was just every other thread I saw it was like yum, this car...

I'm not knocking it, I'm merely stating that's what he was getting at :p

It's a bit like Edmond posting the same girl with different colour hair saying I'D LOVE TO SMASH THAT, repetitively, I'm sure he has somewhere, with his gigs of pron.

Perhaps - watch REC 1, and not any of the others, I guess it's a bit like Paranormal Activity in the sense it was a good small budget film, they injected shit loads of cash into it, and it didn't improve vastly.

Not sure how scary you could call it...it's really more of a psychological thriller...but my favorite horror movie has always been the original "The Thing".
