I watched the interesting game live, no need to watch it again.

Sometimes its nice to flop about on the sofa watching nonsense, after a day of faffing, especially when you get to listen to all those different languages.

Quick! Ignore the numbers and concentrate on the minority figures that fit my agenda! That never gets old.

The most important take out is that almost no non-religious person ever becomes or goes back to religion, and even in muslim households, 10% are now non-religious. Islam, despite the whole "you can't leave or we'll kill you" thing, is no safer from secularisation than any other skyfairy worship unless we let it happen; the only reason there's growth in muslims is immigration, because you can't secularise the first generation, and because Government policy when we started treating all muslims like dirt 20 minutes after 9/11, which means we've slowed down the secularisation of the second generation, which was progressing quite nicely.

Sharia law is rife in the ghettoised communities, in fact anyone who says it isn't the primary law used by muslims when they can get away with it , is fooling themselves.
They are tolerated in plain sight and operate fully behind closed doors, they only use our law when dealing with us.
Is it a problem? Only that it further isolates them , people talk of racial harmony in London, it's a fallacy, everyone has their own patch, entrenched cultures, bigotry and racism, religious hatred...practically zero inter race marriage or real friendships.
Liberals walk down the street and because there isn't actual fighting going on, they conclude everythings hunky dory, the authorities are obviously keen to paint that picture as well so as not to stir up trouble, the reality is a simmering 'Gangs of New York'.
Only time will fix it, and the passing of the older generations, it doesn't help to keep importing fresh bigotry and racism.

There's plenty nice, cool people in lots of nasty places with archaic laws but in Iran most still agree with it in principle.
