Anyone seen Lucky Louie?

It was a single run of 12 episodes. So funny. God knows why they pulled it. Been rewatching it and laughing out loud. Possibly still available on torrents or YT, I've got them all if u can't find them online

All the Solar companies website go evasive on solar panel and cloudy weather ( UK mostly cloudy), they use words like, still produces electricity..not as bad as you think.

Here's a guy testing a panel, he strangely seems impressed by a 7/8ths drop in power.

Working great at my mates house even when it's cloudy. Not 100% but he's making enough so their bills are zero, and that's with kids.

When you say working great a 4KW array will make 500w on a cloudy day, which isn't even a TV and computer...in the day, obviously you
make it up selling sunny days and non usage times back to the government, but someone has to pay for those ludicrously high resale rates.

Oh, the taxpayer does..that's it.

My roof doesn't face the right way for solar (and its in a protection zone, I had to jump through hoops to put a sky dish up) or I would be all over it, any natural input into the system is a good thing, be it wind or solar, so long as the energy produced is larger than the energy required to create the medium in the first place...which essentially rules out current tech batteries.

I am not a raging idiot that thinks we should abandon electricity but we do need to stop burning finite sources of energy, obvious reasons that finite = it will run out and we are held to ransom by geographical location.

Its just such a shame that wind power is a complete failure, not because it isnt workable but because they insist on making them in China and shipping them half way around the world to sit dormant, most of the time.

Fuck it all, nuclear is the way forward...while the bleaters will bleat about post power disposal and whatnot, it doesn't come anywhere near to the damage of pure fossil fuel power generation and as we stand now we simply cannot produce power as and when we need it through purely renewable sources, nuclear (and the more efficient the better) has to take up the slack.

Its interesting how ZeniMax wheeled the lawyers out after Oculus was bought out by a company worth billions, not those two years when Oculus was just a Kickstarter...

Wouldn't surprise me if Facebook lose that one.

Zenimax almost guaranteed had a preassignment agreement contract with Carmack or something similar to it.

And that might be the reason why they didn't act sooner. They had to read his contract and figure out when he developed that hardware/software and what the contract says regarding it..

If Zenimax is correct both Carmack and Facebook are screwed...

Does your employer own the entire contents of your head?

Why would anyone sign a contract including either of those two demands?

Question - if a stray cat you've been looking after for over a year and you were convinced was female, actually turns out to be male - is it cruel to name him Catlin Jenner?

Because when every employer does it, its difficult to get work otherwise. The interesting thing with Zenimax, (which we can't know) is the nature of their contract with Carmack, because he only became a Zenimax employee though their acquisition of id software, so its probably not the regular employer/employee thing (it was more likely an earn-out to keep him on their books for x number of years).

Do you guys think there's a correlation between better tasting fruit/vegetables and nutritional value? Large scale cultivation with gen-mod seeds, synthetic manure etc, vs a closed cycle, nurturing the earth, smaller scale, which always tastes so much better.

Fresh fruit tastes better. I think organic produce is pure marketing bullshit. What matters is how quickly it gets from the plant to your mouth. That's why frozen garden peas taste so good - they're frozen within an hour of being picked.

I think it tastes better (blind taste tests confirm it) and it's got a lot less pesticides in it.

Much more expensive tho obvs. Personally, I think it's worth the outlay, but I'm not hung up on it. Eating lots of fresh veg is the most important thing for your health regardless of source.
