Dogs will eat their own shit, hungry or not. It's not nothing to do with their hunger levels. They're animals, they'll eat turds for fuck sake.

Any dog outside of the food devouring Labrador, will turn it's nose up at anything 'green', unless it hasn't eaten all day.

Dogs don't eat vegatables, humans don't need them if they are eating enough varied meat and fats to get nutrients reqd.
Much of the vegatable/fruit support comes from how we think of them as not being fatty, they seen clean and wholesome, like an antidote to fatty, heart disease causing meat.
They are just a food source, a poorer energy source, but no more healthy than anything...well except refined sugar, which is just too much for the body in the amounts we eat.
Cut out added refined sugars, it batters your bodies mechanisms.

Dogs are carnivores, we aren't. Look at our teeth compared to carnivores, we have slicing teeth, shredding teeth and grinding teeth, we have evolved to eat everything and require everything. Eating just meat is as retarded as vegetarianism.

That's absolute bollocks mate. They'll get by fine without them, but they'll eat almost anything. Source: my colleague at work is partially sighted and gives his dog bits of apple, potato and banana.

My cat likes baked beans, he is also quite partial to weetabix. He also devours squirrels head first.

Not sure what being partially sighted has to do with it, but apples and bananas are sweet enough to interest a dog.
Our Shitzu would eat grapes if hungry, the wife would sneak vegetables into his food bowl..after eating all the meat was gone and the veg was untouched.

It wasn't excellent when he was trying to get it in the cat flap. My wife was far from pleased (she is a townie) I regularly have to deal with maimed rabbits limping round the living room.

Looking at the R at the moment, its £4000 off due to the faced lift coming, the new ones are back order for 7 months, can only get a black or white round here, as that's all that's left of the current model

Always wondered about the words effect and affect, often people just use effect for both.
The OED remarks their different meanings, but goes on to describe them as pretty well the same thing in the abstract.

Affect and effect are quite different in meaning, though frequently confused. Affect is primarily a verb meaning ‘make a difference to’, as in their gender need not affect their career. Effect, on the other hand, is used both as a noun and a verb, meaning ‘a result’ as a noun (move the cursor until you get the effect you want) or ‘bring about a result’ as a verb (growth in the economy can only be effected by stringent economic controls)

With him alone on Top Gear you'd be easing into a cozy quasi-Friends series with the addition of cars.

They are two different words with different meanings. If you get rid of one you might as well call all 4 legged pets, dogs.

Painting my front room, after much plastering. So messy, so annoyingly time consuming. And I still have to crawl around for hours under the floor, insulating it. And then getting the plumber in to do the radiator. And then I have to fit the flooring. And I'm skint :(

We have a wall in our living room that needs re-plastering. The plaster is at least 100 years old and only held together by the wallpaper I think. It could be even older, a bit fell off upstairs last year and actually had straw and some kind of hair in it. The whole lot needed to go.

Its one of those jobs that needs doing but I just know it will turn into an epic ballache.

Sorry, never have been a fan of BMW, they just don't do it for me

Test driving the S3 and the Golf R on thursday

S3 Sportback looks nice, and apparently its a much better handler than the old one that I had. Definitely have to get Audi Virtual Cockpit if you get one; its awesome.

Pretty much both the same car, just the Audi has nicer plastics inside.
