The point in him not being put in prison has nothing to do with the fact she was looking for older men, it's more to do with that most 'normal' people wouldn't get away with it by saying 'oops, what she wasn't 16? lol!'

But since you're on this point, kids at the age of 13 wanting sex with older men usually have something quite borked in their childhood, sure 14-15 with people your age, fine.

If you're going on dating websites and a kid says 'Hi! I want sex! But I'm 13!' and you reply with 'That's fine!' Then that's worse than grooming a kid in a playground in some respects; you're taking advantage. (In other respects, it's not sure, taking away innocence etc etc, but you get the point.)

This guy met this girl and a 15 year old in a hotel to have sex with them, if you are sleeping with a 13 year old girl, and you're actively seeking out to sleep with a child, there's no fucking argument about it.

This isn't a 18 year old going to a bar and picking up a 15 year old, getting drunk, and having a one night stand and ending up in prison, this is a man who went out of his way to pay someone to have sex with him.

If anything, the law is there to stop people like this man, not 18 year olds who unknowingly sleep with 15 year olds when they're fucked up.

You're talking shit soze. Human brains don't stop developing until the mid twenties. Children of her age aren't capable of making well-informed and sensible decisions - they've neither the experience or the actual physical structures in their brains that would allow them to do so.

It's why we have ages of criminal responsibility, some countries have statutory rape laws (because the responsibility should rest solely on the adult) and why we have paedo laws in the first place. Because kids aren't capable of making these decisions rationally.
