You just went full retard with that statement - I can confirm first hand that primary kids can be evil, twisted little bastards. My missus has been assaulted twice since the new term started in August. That shit never happened when I was at school, both primary and secondary.
Totally shocked at the level of mental, physical and social issues of even 5 year olds! I went in with my eyes open at all the extra work required as my mum was a teacher- by God it is far worse than expected, and I teach in a 'leafy Surrey village'.
The industry is haemorrhaging teachers as no one wants all the daily shit of being a social worker, parents shouting at you, trying to educate kids that don't give a shit and being judged on that, can be quite hard. It is now an impossible job, which is a shame. Last week was a 65 hour week, but we get the holidays

The CoE are framing this as an attack on free speech but in my mind free speech means you can say whatever you want but you have no right to force anyone to listen

So if the cinemas dont want to run your ad then tough titties
Just seen the same on the BBC news site. If the cinemas were showing ads for other religions, then I'd see the church's view a bit, but it's a blanket refusal to show any religious advertising, so tough luck to the church.

Even though most of you consider me a nutter due to my catholic heritage I don't believe that showing a group of people saying the our father is appropriate at the cinema in any country... The beauty of belief in anything is it should be due to personal choice not indoctrination.... A debate I have had my whole life. It is surprising how early in life you question your parents views.... I first started questioning Catholicism pre teen at about 10... When I was sent away to school I questioned it even more and there it was really in your face... Ie to be in the 'in' crowd you would be there playing your guitar on a Saturday afternoon singing 'Now the green blade riseth' with the younger nuns... Me I played smoke on the water and stairway to heaven and thus was not popular :p .... However as much as I question my roots I also question disbelief... In either case to believe or not is a very personal choice and I do not believe in influence from any direction.

Yeah. Aren't we beyond being a Christian nation - if you want religion go to the Church if you want film go to cinema

Actually, despite my views on religion; I think the cinemas are flat out wrong. There argument is about the potential to cause offence; when did it become a right not to be offended? Answer, never, but of course we went full Orwell quite some time back. If the CoE want to advertise their bullshit, let them.

The cinemas want to provide an experience that doesn't upset their customers - and considering the fact that there are a lot of alternative methods of consuming media I think upsetting their customers is a bad commercial decision.

It's a stretch to get me to go to the movies nowadays and if I was being preached at on top of it then that'd probably be enough to get me to go "I'd done with going to the pics now"...

"The Lord’s Prayer is prayed by billions of people across the globe every day"

Dream on. I find it easier to believe that Star Wars is real, than a God exists.

Well technically they're correct -IF- every Christian does it. After all there are about 2.5 billion of them. Frankly I doubt it. They'd be lucky to break 100 million in.

Just watched A search for Freedom, 2015 documentary/movie glorious cinematics, makes you want to go and buy a surfboard and move to California.
Well worth a watch, though may make going to work extra depressing.

Those 150g bags of salt and vinegar that M&S do are fantastic. They're tangier than Discos, and that's saying a lot.

M&S do a big bag of bacon rashers, they're great, they're more puffed crisps than normal frazzels

I think doctors and nurses just care and it isn't the same as normal jobs where you switch off.

Also now I know @Tilda is a Doctor I have many, many questions I need to ask him.
Such as "what are these itchy, oozing lumps on my ball sack"?

I've decided that it's time to organise the shit on my PC. I've got about 10Tb spread over five drives and need to rationalise them into reasonably separate libraries so Plex can do its thang and so that in the future I'll be able to sensibly expand and keep things safe.

It's taken me all day so far and all I've managed to do is sort out a logical structure and start to move half my movies over. I'm rammed to the hilt on all of the drives.

So to give me room to maneuver I'm currently running no backups at all. Hopefully nothing will go to tits until after this reorg. Once that's done I'll reinstate the backups and bob should be my mother's brother. But I'm bricking it somewhat :poop:

Nipped out to cut the grass at the weekend, but the weather didn't play ball, so snapped this picture instead:

Should have held your breath, that way the image wouldn't be full of fog in front of the lens.
