Yeah..but put it in a card reader connected to a pc and pull the power to the PC and bang goes your data...they need to redo the file structures to make them resistant to power loss.

Anyway I came to post about desktop video..I've got a quadcore AMD on a top end gigabyte board, with 1080 hdmi support, but it still slightly tears 1080 when I look real close on the projector...so I buy a 130 quid projector with usb media play..stick the exact same file in the back and it plays pixel perfect...wtf

Doesn't with mine. I have one permanently in which holds a back up of my university assignments.

The whole point to them is that they survive power loss, otherwise how on earth would they work?

That's just not true. I always pull the card straight out of the reader without doing the "safely remove" thing which is surely an identical situation to sudden power loss.

Thinking about it, when I said I had had a card failure, it didn't fail at all. It was a Lexar 32GB card and my card reader wouldn't read it but the reader in my monitor got the files off of it no problem.

Almost all file corruption in relation to memory cards is caused at the input end by devices failing to write the files to the card properly. Short of sticking them in the microwave, they rarely corrupt on their own.

I always have with no problem..but recently I have been getting corruptions..and these are big time corruptions that fragment your files to unreadable without even any type of overwrite, I watched the vids from Miami off the card on the PC, pulled the 8gb Samsung micro sd out...wasn't even streaming to the vid...put it back in and everything was gone...asking to format card...spent a week with recovery software and got 1 vid back.

Yeah. I knew that was in the settings for location anyway..but it's a bit confusing...maps needs location to get gps lock..but that gives google carte blanche to track you against your searches, can you let google have rough idea where you are only and still let maps/earth have fine lock.

This makes me sick.

How can you have the audacity to go to these people who are in absolute shite and do this to them?

Why are you coming here? Well, in actual fact, I watched my entire family got massacred.

That bitch is annoying 'That's a very nice phone there'

If you have android and have your location on, you can find all the data here: https://maps.google.com/locationhistory
Actually great to know which clients you went past while working!

Clearly people with nice phones don't mind watching their homes and families get blown to bits...or something.

Shit like that boils my piss, how fucking dare they say "England don't want you" Fuck off, a handful of knuckledragging arseholes have a problem.

Never liked BMW's and the people who drive them seem to be very good at going fast in a straight line, but throw in a corner, bend, roundabout, cyclist.....and so on

They seem to lose all co-ordination

It really depends on what you want out of a car.

The S3 isn't a bad car, it's fast and it's safe. It's just not a sports car. If you want safe, fast and luxury then it's probably everything you need. It has to be said, but BMWs are just better to drive and more fun. I remember going up through the highlands in my Z4 - I felt every nuance in the road through the steering wheel, I knew what the car was doing and I could tickle the back end with more throttle and get a bit of play. It always left me smiling. I drove the same piece of road in an Audi TT and I had fuck-all idea what was going on - the steering was too light, the chassis was utterly numb, there was no communication on what the car was doing. It actually felt dangerous. The S3 was pretty much the same, far too safe and far too dull. Why anyone would choose it over something like a M135i or the M235i is beyond me.

Driving my 120d immediately after the S3 made me appreciate how communicative the 1 series is from the heavier steering feel to the superior driving position and the better seats (the seats in the S3 flat out suck dick).

This is why I like Jeremy Corbyn, I know you think he's a joke, but atleast the plebians are going to look for a legit reason for us being in the shit - wealth inequality, rather than blaming immigrants.

'Why don't you got to Germany?'

They clearly don't understand that Germany has -way- more Asylum seekers than you, seriously, fuck off pricks.

I respect that he stands up for his convictions, I just think most of them are insane and wouldn't work in a million years.

Thing is, our Scandanavian friends on this forum would piss theirselves if they understood what Corbyn stands for, since they are socialist and they don't seem to be doing too badly.

Atleast he's striving for a political change where it realistically would change the lives of the working classes, as opposed to shutting the borders and thinking everything would return to normality.

The cost of living is also substantially higher in Nordic countries, any extra social income is swallowed up by that, it is not the utopia the left will have you believe.

We don't really have a true working class any more. Those that work can generally afford a reasonable standard of living and those that don't can't...I wouldn't call those that don't work the working classes though and I would happily replace every last one of them with someone jumping out the back of a lorry looking for work in Dover.

I mean the idea of substantially increased taxation for the rich more than anything to be honest.

I think the concept of a working class is perhaps a bit blurred

But there are a lot of people working their asses off who are not achieving a reasonable standard of living, hence the queues at food banks

The nordic model is not a socialist utopia, its an ideal that espouses equality and freedom for all but is run by a section of the population that is extremely suspicious of outsiders - thus its obvious flaws ;)

That said your chances of getting to a reasonable standard of living in the nordics is very high regardless of where you are born or what "class" you were born in to, education is free and if you were born in nordocs or are a permanent residence you will even get paid to study at university

this access to opportunity is not always the case in the UK where the systems seem designed to keep people where they are and actively block the movement of labour (which is the opposite of what the system is supposed to do surely?)

Thats my experience of being unemployed in the UK at least, deeply unpleasant and thankful i dont live there anymore

Dont even get me started on the absurdities of the US systems :p
