That's the thing, people were talking about ledgers past roles, how he wouldn't fit, how he'd suck as the joker etc, but it did work in the end.

There's never been a sucky joker in tv/films(if you consider the context they're in) so i'm willing to give a huge benefit of doubt here. Who knows, he could be the first sucky joker, but the character is so strong that he'd really have to suck to f*ck it up. More comes down to writing etc, but even then it's really hard to mess up.

I'm not gonna say the image is perfect though, should've had a suit on and it would have 0 issues(which is how we'll most likely see his performance).

(Diclaimer; i am one of, if not the, biggest joker fans around here so i do have a dash of "please don't suck" in my opinion)

Monitoring is OK and stupid arse of a captain for straying into their waters. They have the 5th Fleet based in Bahrain most of the time so they are always monitoring the Iranian activity. That was at the behest of the Gulf Countries (GCC).
