They've got nothing to lose. The current austerity economics have driven the people to poverty (not the rich ones, of course - you know, the ones that got rich off the corruption - they're always fine). So they may as well pull the trigger.

I wager that by the end of this parliament they'll be in better shape than they would be under what they have now (which is fuck all). It may not get strongly reported that way considering we're on "the other side", so to speak...

Of course on the plus side, I have capital in England which is now worth more in Euros than it has been for a good few years (1.34 EUR per GBP!) so... every cloud...

Equally - the people of greece were fleeced by corrupt rich people - and EU politicians had full knowledge of this. Why should joe citizen of any country be held responsible for the actions of a priviledged elite that they have no control over?

Yep, there's gonna be knock-on's for the eurozone - but why not direct anger at our own politicians rather than the greek people? Their youth unemployment rate is greater than 50% - they're suffering anyway so why kick a man when he's down for crimes that were nothing to do with him?
