Where abouts is Polaris?
At the bridge in the far north

You can get summoned to instance, just ask around for a group to fill a role tank, dps, healer

Polaris is fairly easy, but has some simple raid mechanics that needs to be taken into account to avoid wipe

Well - atmosphere in the game is okay, some quests are very well crafted and rather much more difficult then the run of the mill MMO quests, other quests are run of the mill kill quests.
The jack-of-all trades ability system might appeal to some, might not to others. The game is rather gear centric though.
PvP wasn't my bag in this game.

However I can't get over how awful the interface is and how sucky the inventory management is and so on. The interface is easiest the biggest drawback in this game for me.
Then on top of that - it's subscription based (bit higher price than normal for EU/UK it seems) with a cash shop with rather high prices if you want to look good killing zombies.
But the interface, the inventory .... yikes. It's more scary than the zombies :D
The community also seems rather annoying much of the time. Half the time it's a circle pat on the back about how intelligent "the community" are and how much better everything is compared to WOW and the other half of the time it's berating anybody who dares to utter anything against the game :D
But - well - /ignore exists for a reason.

Oh and negative item ... it's Failcom.

All in all - it's an okay filler game IMO, but unsure whether it's worth more than a month at the moment - but I'll certainly shelve it when Guild Wars 2 comes and maybe pick it up again when it goes F2P in about a year or less :D.

All of that is pretty much true, dare to say a bad word about the game and be prepared to feel the full wrath of the life time subbers haha.

It's a filler game pure and simple i bought it because i was bored and if i get 40+ hours out of it i'll be happy with that, they still don't give a reason why they charge the UK so much to play over £11 a month wtf they think they are special?

Life time subs? People must be insane to stump up for them nowadays, what with new MMOs generally being terrible and only really last for 6 months at most.

Quite enjoying it so far. More for the fact is a modern setting with a lovecraft twist. I think ive had my fill of fantasy sword/sorcery mmo's, they all just been to samey for the last few years.

I haven't played since Sunday the fact my old PC could barely manage 30 fps on medium settings was just annoying, currently twiddling my thumbs waiting on my new rig to arrive.

Tbh mate anything works well together because at the end of the day all the abilities are attainable if i'm not mistaken obviously to get every tree maxed it will take a while :p

Isn't blood a heal tree?

Blood has heals but is mainly absorb barriers and dots I believe, fist has HoT's and some other useful stuff, maybe even hammer/blood would work.

You can do decent tanking with any tanking weapon + support weapon. The most important thing to have is in the green (Misc) Turbulence cell, that's where the hate builders are

Currently the best tanking weapons are Hammer+Chaos

yeah im still enjoying it as well. story elements are nice, and kingsmouth is very "lovecraft" in look and feel. currently just elementalist at the mo, maxed out the first level of the tree.

The issue with sub prices are they're higher than normal on top of a cash shop......

aye that was a little boggling to swallow I must admit, I've added up some of the cash shop prices and they are truly crazy (long leather coat for example costs £16 and it only applies to a single character)

Really? Ive done most of kingsmouth now and haven't had problems with any yet. lots of people moaning about the raven quest, but its just user error on that one.
