Went into town and picked up three albums by bands I've never heard of (though I'm certain I must have heard vague rumblings or why did I pick them up?) and I've been utterly blown away by all of them.

The Polyphonic spree seems to be 25 nutters in white robes shaking tambourines and is some of the freshest most joyous-sounding music I've ever heard (Soldier Girl rocks!). The Rasmus are a scandinavian pop/rock/punk/metal band whose every track seems to put a smile on my face (despite the fact that every review I've seen has been awful) and Oceansize - haven't even got a clue how to begin to categorize them! Are they Soundscape Gardeners perhaps? Dunno, but I like it a lot.

I've got, and like, the polyphonic spree album. There's a new album coming soon. (Together we're harder :eek6: I've been told)

Two albums I'm going to buy are 'The Keys' By Keys and Streetcore by Joe Strummer. :D

Streetcore is an excellent album, I was never really into Joe Strummers solo stuff before, but this one is definitely more clashesque.
Shame he had to snuff it :(

The Polyphonic Spree are insane. Insanely fun, too. Wasn't much of a fan: the musi'c ok but doesn't really grab me that much... Saw them last year at Reading festival... and it was THE most amazing gig I've seen. Only half of them were on stage (about 25), and it really is the most uplifting feel good thing you could ever watch. So joyous and happy, without being pretentious.
