Undersiege, my mate insisted we went to the cinema to see Erika's knockers on the big screen ;)
Reminds me of the Palace in Aldershot back in the day, sticky seats as I am sure they used to do "late night Adult screenings".

Was it as bad as Robins, in Camberley, though?!

Cannot remember that place, used to go to Fleet Country Club, some club in Camberley and Cinderellas in Guildford back in my youth.

Fuck me! You remember that old shit hole?

Watched Lord of the Rings there, they had an intermission, except the carpet was so sticky, you had to sit there.

Not a southerner, but lived in Farnborough for a year, then Ash Vale for 5

Edit, then North Camp for 6 months...fuck that.

Remember watching stuff at The Palace and it had a large fucking scratch in the middle of the screen. Upmarket was going to the Odeon in Aldershot before it turned into some Church thing, oh and next door to that was ABC/Bingo Wings Hall. Still there the pair of them, must be listed for "medical" purposes, bet there are some things living in the carpets at those and the Palace helping mankind.

It was previously 'the Camberley Classic'.... only decent thing about the place was the nice snooker hall underneath it!

Ah I remember playing snooker somewhere in Camberley, sure it was on the A30 behind the wire fence that ran alongside the A30. Show ya age @Jupitus and confirm please.

Yeah, I was down there in 2001ish, I have no idea why we went there, we usually went to Guildford for the cinema. We lived in Avondale in Ashvale, so had 2 railway stations in easy walking distance. Had an amazing landlord, got offered the 1 bed house we rented for 140k, which was a bit below market value, but couldn't afford a mortgage at the time, would be worth 3-4 times that now...

When I was a kid in Wales the only cinema for miles was the City Cinema in Bangor; I watched the two most iconic films of my childhood, Jaws and Star Wars, on a screen with a two foot square patch sewn right into the middle of the screen where apparently a drunk had thrown a bottle through it. I can't hear the phrase "you're gonna need a bigger boat" without remembering Roy Scheider's head surrounded by a box.

That the one by the station? If so, it's flats now.

I went there a few times. Last time was a Michael J Fox film that was so awful that me and the girl I was with left and drove to a secluded place so I could finger her.

So, result! :sex:

I want to say...the High Street? But it was 40-odd years ago, and on the couple of occasions I've been back to Bangor since everything seems weirdly not to scale because my memories are all from the perspective of a 10 year old. Beaumaris (where I lived and went to school) feels like Lilliput.

Yeah. If you followed the high street towards the station it was right at the end.

Bangor's not done well since the 80's - the council made some poor decisions on ugly shopping centres in what could potentially have been a very pretty tourist destination.

Beaumaris is great tho. To visit anyway. But it's 100% a tourist town, even more than when you were growing up. The tourist dollar means there's a few decent places to eat etc.

You still got family/friends there?

Hit me all you want, fucking memory. I was already 3/4 way through it and didn't even realise. Just woken up so decided to watch Foundation S1 to see if it can jog my memory. One thing I can remember is one of the main characters is out of Halt and Catch Fire (fucking awesome TV show).

Silver lining of memory issues you can watch the same murder mysteries over and over and twist never gets old
