Bit of a dull early race but turned into a great race.

Can't watch don't have Canal+ everything in Sport worth watching has been taken over in France. So we've been watching the Tour de France all week.

Sky+ HD here. :) Not altogether legally but it works. I had to install a much bigger dish (up from "normal size" to 1.2m) to pick up the signal though because they switched satellites or something last year.

Lewis really has been a bit of a mong this race.

I think that's what you get with Lewis - extremely fast driver who, when on the back foot, tends to go all out. His apology to the team was quite telling.

My moment of the race was Alonso being lapped by ex-team mate but then overtaking back - yes, yes, I know Raikkonen had engine issues but I still enjoyed it.

Oh, and Nico's puncture - payback for spa? :D

Ricciardo/Rosberg fracas ruined what could have been a very exciting end to the race imo.

It would've been hilarious if, after all of that, it had still ended up Vettel, Hamilton and Rosberg in the top 3 (which was looking likely when the safety car was out).

I enjoyed winding up the resident Rosberg fanboy at work today by saying it was all Rosberg's fault (It was actually pretty unavoidable really)

We're not allowed our own dish. We have HD and there's a dish but we'd have to subscribe to Canal+ and it's not really worth it for the amount of time we are here. Just have to watch late. Sometimes try a download but the wifi is so slow and small it ruins the whole thing.

The BBC actively block proxies from accessing iPlayer. You can never rely on a proxy that works one day working the next (plus proxies via tv are a pain in the arse). The only way you can reliably use iPlayer (and ITV player actually) is your own VPN.

A great explanation of the starting procedure (and recent changes to it) from James Allison. He should explain more stuff.

The most important thing is that rosberg and ham switched to engine #3 this race, rosberg had a problem and has had to switch to engine #4 - no penalty, but if they cant repair engine #3 within the regs, then he's at a disadvantage for the rest of the season, and because they only had 2 new spec engines, the engine he's switched to for #4 is old spec, so lewis has the new spec advantage ( assuming his isn't flawed the same way rosbergs was ) - might have just decided the season.

He switched to engine two. The one he used in spa etc. so yes a disadvantage but he still has engine four to use if three cant be repaired

Loving having the Ferraris in the mix on the grid, and actually far closer to HAM than expected. If they show good race pace it should be quite a show tomorrow (y)
