lal germany!~!

seems croatia is better then we all thought :p

Croatia was ranked as a strong and 2nd best team in group B before the tournament started.

I don't want to sound like a fan boy, but Germany had a way higher ball possesion than Croatia until the 2nd goal. They had at least some combinations going and the Croatian goals looked like accidents to me.

Often when Germany started to combine Croatia fouled, must have been like 12-15 fouls (I didn't count) before they stopped with it. Imho the ref should have given them a yellow or two after 6-8th foul. Instead Ballack got a yellow for not even touching the enemy player and Schweinsteiger got red for almost nothing too.

Ballack was off, he played shit, a lot of bad passes, insta-shooting when he shouldn't and so on. Gomez was a waste, off side non-stop, Germany lacked the last steps to goal but had their chances and didn't play for a draw unlike Croatia.

Anyway, unless Germany will field 3rd league kickers against Austria they're going further. Will prolly meet Portugal in the quarter-final and Croatia (if they manage) in the half-final.

The final is still near :p. 4 games to go.

Yes Germany played better football, but Croatia did not play badly, they simply closed ranks after their goal. Now it was up to Germany to prove their quality and break down a well organised, aggressive team. They failed.

Nice quote from "Süddeutsche Zeitung":
"Bringing Odonkor means playing with ten players plus a turbo lawn-mower right next to the sideline."

Lovely, second greatest joy in football after seeing England win, is seeing Germany lose.

Well played by Croatia, they deserved the win.

I have to say I think Croatia was the better team. They played well, they played deep instead of sideways and their goals were certainly no accidents. As for fouls, both teams were equal in that department.

I had Germany as a favourite to win the whole thing before this game, but now i'm not so sure anymore.

Germany was too slow, not enough sprints or fast ball circulation. Croatia played very well as a team. Quite impressive actually.
I just hope Portugal will met this germany on the quarter and not the team that played agaisnt Poland ^^

class by Holland, I'm just hoping it isnt a case of peaking to soon,
and I very much hope either france or Italy win in the comming game wich should be interresting, becuase I'd really hate to see Romania go through. They've been By faar the most booring team together with Greece.

Holland has amazing team play and at the same time great individual players. Doubt there is anything that can stop them.

I was supporting France, I just love Henry. Sadly his natural elegance as a football players seems to fade away  I love that way he is like a wizard, you never know what trick he is going to pull out of his hat. Still great watching him though...

Schnider's goal = <3 Anyone else think France just dont look interested? Holland are really setting the standard! Beating both World Cup winners and finalist!! So ok, say they go through with Portugal and Spain. Who are you semifinalists really from group B?
