There is a cycling one afaik, looks shit though.

I would like to see a really in depth American football sim where you can buy the players, run the franchise and pick the plays during the game. More advanced than the EA yearly update.

I think the best part of Madden is the franchaise mode. Ive spent quite a lot of times just simming through seasons to do the draft and free agency.

Not knowing anything about the behind the scenes part game myself but can't the scores and whatnot be processed, or partially processed while you are running a game? It would add another element to league games, especially at the end of a season when you might be reliant on other results. It doesn't bother me all that much tbh and certainly speeded up in recent releases, it used to take an absolute age.

Erm it does already and has done for years. If your matches are at the same time then this happens. As you can tell by the latest scores and other match screens. If the matches aren't played at the same time then obviously they can't. If you want all the matches done in processing at the same time, turn off the Move for TV option in the preferences.

For the love of God no-one here knows anything about us do they?

We've made Baseball and Ice Hockey management games in the past.

I think I have said it before but i would love a game mode that lets you do the transfers and pick the team. But then you just click go you don't worry about 40 different types of tactic. An you do not need to worry about players copping the arsehole with you. Other than that the game is great.

Champ Man 97/98 :)

Buy your players, pick your team, plonk them down in a location with a couple of arrows and press go and space bar!! Rinse and repeat Season done.

Me and 4 mates, did a full 4 team season from 3 different leagues in a night. Those were the days, non of the 10's of options per each player now has with or without the ball.

I quite like the micro management of tactics.

I can't stand the training though.

You appeal to the younger fanbase Wazz with the depth, but what about us who have grown up with the game :p?

With real life filling most of the void, alot of us can no longer sit and spend 24 hours getting through a season, hell in my Lanzarote save I managed to get through 4-5 matches over the spare two hours I got a night :(.

We haven't used with ball/without ball for absolutely YEARS.

Christ on a bike.

I'm not saying you do, but they've just been replaced with suck your star player off at half time, while his agent watches. More is not always better.

Constructive! And entirely truthful!

You have too much bollocks in game :) it's as constructive as it gets. You can polish it and shine it up as much as you like. You just don't make em like you used to.

You don't actually understand the term constructive criticism, do you? Because that's as far away from constructive criticism as it gets.

SORT IT OUT SI! WAH!

If people are prepared to talk about the game without resorting to talking about things that haven't existed in the game in years or are prepared to say more than "It' SHIT LULZ" then you'll get a good response in return.

One thing you learn in the industry is there is no point trying to talk sense to those people who don't want to hear it. Sadly, that's a lot of people. :(

You think comments like the game used to be good but now all you do is suck your players off is something that's actually worthy of a proper response? :D

Seb Squillaci has made over twice as many appearances in the Champions League (50) as Sp*rs have in the European Cup & CL combined (20).

I think this is quite apt for yourself. There has been plenty of constructive criticism, you are just don't want to hear it. I'll try and spell it out for you:

Numerous people have said that it now takes too long to play through a season. So you need to think of a way that people can play through the seasons faster.

I'm not saying you do, but they've just been replaced with suck your star player off at half time, while his agent watches. More is not always better.

This is helpful. Some people don't want everything to be as realistic as possible. In a game like Sim City or Transport Tycoon, you don't have to submit a planning application every time you build something. It would be much more realistic if you did but it would ruin the fun of the game.

Numerous people have also complained about the various tactics/training aspects of the game and you have been quick to point out that those things are no longer in the game. It's obvious that there is confusion over certain aspect of the game, maybe some better documentation/wiki would help?

Anyway, I am going to let you go back to pointing out that you market your game at "younger" people and how a forum for gamers is not the kind of market demographic you should be targeting... I am sure I read an article recently about how ~90% of people who downloaded your latest game (possibly the mobile app) pirated it, I wonder why...

Oi cunts. This is a football thread, not a "flame Wazz cos you suck at the latest version of Football Manager" thread. Pretty sure there is already a thread for that.

Anyway back to footy. Charity shield tomorrow. What do we reckon? I know it's only really a friendly and doesn't matter too much. Still keen to see Hazard, Oscar et all in action.

I may have tickets as well. Executive box oh yesssh.

Oscar may well be the best buy of the season if he keeps developing, the lad just has it.

Hazard will start I imagine. Oscar wont. He'll probably be introduced slowly into the side at the beginning of the season due to Olympics etc.
